Highest discrepancy between FGA and points scored in 1 game?
example:
player x makes 5 of 5 field goals for 12 total points, which would result in a discrepancy of 7 since 12-5 = 7.

Kobe's 81 points?
Didn't he take 48 shots and scored 81 points?
That's a difference of 81 - 48 = 33.

My guess is 100-63 = 37 would be it and second would be 81-46=35.

A little useless because you have to factor in FTs.

Well, I know Rip Hamilton lead the Pistons, who won the game, in scoring, while not making single FG. If I remember right, he had about 20 points or so (all on FTs)

Yeah it would be hard to imagine a bigger discrepancy than Wilt's though Kobe came quite close.

I think Willie Green once took 36 shots and scored 4 points. Does that count?

Karl Malone: 61 points - 26 FGA = 35 (19 - 23 at the free throw line). In 33 minutes.
edit: it was 61 points, not 60, my bad.

i'm failry sure we won that game.....but, it reminds me of when we beat Utah w/o making a single FG in the 4th Q. Gotta love LB's offense!

Are we talking about the same game, right? The game Rip was the only person in NBA history who led the team in scoring without hitting a FG?

Michal Jordan +33
Willie Burton +34
Karl Malone +35
All three games a result of very high number of FTM.

Yup, youre right.
I was under the impression that they won the game, for some reason.
I also thought he had about 20pts.
Man, I was pretty off on both.
