LOS ANGELES LAKERS

I'm a Laker fan. I'm fan because of the way they make me feel. If they win or lose I'm still happy at the end of the day because their my team. I just feel like their part of my family. Its weird because when I see them shooting the go-ahead 3 pointer its just warms my soul to the point when I can't sit down no more. I know I stand for most of the game I'm talking about 70% to 80% of the game. I even love going back and watching Magic and Kareem play together. I guess some of you may think I'm kinda carzy but that just the way I feel about them.

First game I ever saw in my life I got to watch Magic Johnson light it up. Instant Laker fan.

I think most people are fans of their team by default. If you like the sport, you want to watch it, and the team you are going to watch is the team that is on TV, so the team you end up following is your local team.

Being a Canadian boy I liked McGrady's potential and raw talent from the beginning. Then when he went to Orlando and exploded he became my favourite player.

Grew up watching the Blazers when I was little, loved 'em ever since.

Having Oden, Roy, and Aldridge doesn't make it too hard either.

Might not be the case for everyone, I grew up In South Carolina on the beach. The only basketball teams around were the Hawks and Hornets and they didn't draw me to them. My dad is a Bulls fan, my mom is 76ers fan( she used to live there), my brother is a cavaliers fan so that "fans of their team by default isn't the case. I'll say maybe 20% of the fan base choses their team because it something that draw them to that team.

man sactowns old offense use to be a thing of beauty.

Orlando, because the 1st game I ever saw was Otown v chicago, magic down by one, nick anderson pokes the ball out of jordans hand to penny and magic win.
eventually won the series. And i was hooked.

Kidd was there, kenyon was there, RJ was there

alot due to location as well, though i could have chosen to be a knick fan i chose not. i used to be but then when i moved to jersey and right towards the end of the stephon era i started to become a nets fan, kidd, kmart and rj came and it was like fast break after fast break so interesting to watch. still am a nets fan because of RJ mainly, and i really like the guys on the team, though if RJ got traded i would concidering changing, but still liking the nets also. hmm if only i could afford nba lp

CHICAGO BULLS

The reason behind it is pretty simple. I was born in 1984, which was the same year Michael Jordan was drafted. So from as early as I can remember as a kid, I grew up watching Jordan, Pippen and co on the TV. I've been a fan ever since.

There's more interesting stories about how I came to choose my 2nd teams to support. I chose the Knicks, Celtics and Lakers because I love the traditions of each team and the stars that have played for them, I chose the Sixers because I liked the team they had back when I was in High School, I chose the Magic because I was a HUGE Penny Hardaway fan, and I chose the Bobcats because I liked the idea of being able to support a team from day 1.

Seattle Supersonics

Childhood memories and the bond I made with my Dad growing up watching them play. Some of the best moments in my childhood are linked to experiencing the Sonics of the early-late 90's. Growing up, watching Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp lead the team through good times and bad. From losing in the first round to Denver in the '94 playoffs after have the best record in the league (63-19). To an exciting duel with the Jazz of the 1996 Western Conference Finals--winning game seven and going on to meet the Bulls in the NBA Finals..to their current situation, I've been through it all.

I was at Key Arena the day the Sonics beat the Jazz in game seven in 1996. I will never forget the way I felt at that moment. At this point in my life I would place it as being the 2nd happiest moment of my life, with only my wedding day beating it out. I was there during game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Bulls..it was a hard fought battle, and when they came back in the series, it gave me hope. Unfortunately, they went back to Chicago and lost it.

I have lived through about 10 years straight of mediocrity thanks to Wally Walker as former Sonics GM. Since 1998, the Sonics have just been "good enough" to either make the playoffs and fail early, or get a high lottery pick. This has done nothing to improve the team presently.

Now I am living in the darkest days of my beloved franchise. With one of the worst records in Sonics history and threats to relocate the team Oklahoma City, I'm still a die hard Sonics fan. I've always said I would bleed green and gold until the day I die. Unfortunately, now I have to say I will bleed green and gold until the day they leave Seattle--which could very well be soon. I will not be a fan of the Oklahoma Sonics (if they intend to keep OUR name) as it will be too painful for me to cheer on MY team in another city.

So which team will you support if the Sonics move?
