From Espn:

Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh is expected to sign a 3-year $15 million contract to oversee Knicks.

Lets see if Walsh can turn the Knicks around.

You know what they say, leave while you're on top.

In a way, he did. He ceded some of his duties to Bird right when Indy was at the top.

Great move for NY. Dolan clearly lets his GM play with the pocketbooks a little and I'd trust Walsh to do that. Hopefully the Knicks can turn things around because that's too fabled a franchise to be suffering like this. The Isiah act has ceased to be funny.

I'm curious to see who Walsh drafts.

Doesn't mean a damn thing if Isiah is still in New York. If they demote Isiah Thomas to the guys who mop the sweat off the floor we're still screwed. Get Zeke outta town!

Until there is a headline on ESPN titled "Isiah Thomas Fired From New Yorks Knicks' Organization" the Knicks are not in good shape.

How much worse can it get? The whole state of New York is messed up. The Governor and Isiah Thomas had related incidents. Maybe Walsh will get in on the action too.

I still can't figure out why he hasn't been fired. I mean, they could take anybody from RealGm and let them coach and they couldn't do any worse.

It's a pitty that they lost Larry Brown out of this. If they had kept him, he'd be ready to do great things with a GM like Walsh who knows what he's doing.

Agreed. Though I can't see Zeke staying on pass seasons end.

ignore the preteen, either he/she was too young to remember the real pacers, or like an idiot thinks Walsh and not Bird is responsible for the current state of the Pacers.

I give it less than a year before the "FI-RE DON-NIE" chants start raining down at MSG ...
