Post#1 » by TMU » Tue Mar 25, 2008 4:26 am

As of today the competition for the 8th seed looks like the following:
8. Atlanta --
9. NJ 1GB
10. Indiana 1.5GB
11. Chicago 3GB

Not counting New Jersey I'd have to go with Indiana. Missing the playoffs would be the wakeup Chicago management needs, and as for the Hawks... The lottery wouldn't be the same without them (even if Phoenix owns pick this year =/)

I'm going for Atlanta. I want to see them in the playoffs.

New Jersey. The Nets making the playoffs without Jason "Overrated" Kidd would be great.

No one. They should just take the top 7 teams and give the Celts a bye.

Atlanta, at least with them you can say they are up and coming instead of floundering with the talent they already have.

definitely NJ..they have entertaining players on their team..and they have Carter who is the only one out of all of those teams that could actually explode when he is putting in effort(as shown with his 37 point game vs. Atlanta last week when his team needing him)..

it would also be great if the Nets make the playoffs and the Mavs miss it..

The Pacers are my team, it's pointless to make the playoffs when they are just going to get 1000 pounds of doo doo dropped on them by the C's. This team needs to get the best draft postion possible. On the other hand with Larry Dumbo as the new GM, he's going to draft some 7'8 167 pound guy from Romania nobody has ever heard of. I guess it really does not matter. :banghead:

Anyone but the Hawks, as the Suns get their pick this season. The Hawks make the playoffs, and the Suns get the 15th pick. They miss the playoffs, the Suns get the 11th pick at worst (unless someone with a better record in the lottery gets a top 3 pick, not likely).

The Pacers have the easiest schedule of the others so I'm rooting for them.

I haven't gotten a good chance to see Atlanta this year. They haven't the most exciting young talent out of that group, so I pick them.
