I think KG needs to take over

Yes I know the Celtics have the best record in the NBA and that they are playing just "fine". Honestly I would love to see the celtics win the title, but I really dont see it happening. Yeah they beat alot of the top teams, but for some reason i still dont tihnk theyre a clear lock for the title.
In order for them to be a clear lock in my eyes KG needs to DOMINATE. I'm sure youre all saying he doesnt need to dominate with pierce and allen on his side, but it feels like the celtics lack a true superstar on the floor. It seems like KG is trying too much to involve everyone and blend in with the team instead of taking over.
Is it me or does anyone else think KG needs to dominate more and have pierce and allen feed off of him instead of pierce, ray and kg blending together.
I feel KG needs to do what kobe is doing in LA. kobe is surrounded with two talented big men bynum and gasol. Kobe is still the dominant player but he lets gasol and bynum feed off of him isntead of kobe blending in with the two.

KB and KG are opposite players. KG will involve his teammates as much as he can. He did that in Minny even though he could have scored almost 30ppg if he wanted to. And he's doing it in Boston except there is so much more talent that KG scores even less. And if you have the best record in the NBA why would you change that? As long as Boston would beat LA in a 7 game series (which they clearly would) obviously KG is doing the right thing.

That's what KG lacks--- a killer instinct. Kobe and Lebron has that innate ability to take over when necessary (Or when they just want to). Garnett's inability is not totally a weakness of course, because he is capable of being the ultimate team player.
That said, this postseason will be the acid test since we know that Allen and Pierce are the better crunchtime performers. Can he step up to the plate when both of those players are guarded and contained? We will see.

KG is fine, he's in total coast mode, the guy isn't even fighting for boards, because they are winning so easily.
The dude had 22/20/5 3 steals, and 3 blocks in his first game in green because he was so excited, he's gonna go nuts come playoff time.
I'd rather KG hit an open teammate than fire up a shot over two guys that makes you a hero or a doof, depending on how it rolls.....

LeBron has the killer instinct at playoff time but Kobe seems to shy away from it in the playoffs. KG in the playoffs, i truly don't recall much about his past playoffs but we'll see what happens this time.

in the playoffs we will see that KG excited again, pistons and magic should be scared. no chance, no chance at all.

the others already said it, he's in coasting mode. by the time the playoffs come he will be on fire again. the last time he had enough talent around him come playoff time he was a monster... and when it really matters he will be there!!!

KG is by far the Celtics best defensive player and he is dominating on that end when he needs to. What you are talking about is dominating on the offensive end and KG should not try to do that unless the matchup calls for that. Pierce is the Celtics best offensive player so he is the one who should be putting up the most points usually.

peirce = biggest drives and mid range jumpers at the end of games
allen = biggiest long range shots at end of games
kg = biggest defensive plays at end of games
it all works out =)

i sincerely doubt anyone should be worrying about whether or not kevin garnett will be bringing it come playoff time... the guy is all heart, and i agree w/everyone else that hes on cruise control for now... and the celtics arent a lock, but theyre as close to a lock as we have right now w/ the west being so wide open this year
