Sixers on the Rise

The Sixers have the best record in the league since the all star break (minus the rockets)
They have finally developed an identity as an uptempo team that cracks down on the defensive end.
However, they are far from being an elite team in the league.
Their biggest hole: PF
What PF do you think is the best fit for the Sixers?
Alot of the big men that will be on the market this offseason will be resigned by their current teams, but there is sure to be 1 that slips through the cracks
Some attractive names that have been tossed around include; Josh Smith, Emeka Okafor and Andreis Bedreins
Other options are also available via trade.
What PF do you think would fit best on the Sixers?

Smith.
He's a beast on the defensive end, especially off the ball.

Yeah Smith would be a solid fit, but they probably could use one with a more developed post game, like an Elton Brand, or like a Drew Gooden type of player.

^Other teams will get better, too. So a few less wins here and there....

Elton Brand can opt out I believe, and with a defensive minded C, and great backcourt, he would be a tremendous fit.

Seriously, that logic is terrible. You are suggesting the Sixers can't get better? He said 50 wins and you just assumed that other teams would get better thus we wouldn't beat the teams we have this year.

No real scoring threat at the 4/5. It is duplicating strengths and weaknesses.

Elton Brands best "fit" would be with the Sixers if he decides to opt out and become a free agent. The only thing is that I don't know how would they sign Iggy if they sign Brand.

they're the same player. rebound, block shots, score close to the basket from easy shots created by others. neither can extend the floor, neither can muscle up, neither can create their own shot. they would just get in each other's way.

uhhhhh to both of you saying duplication....what is evans and dalembert? pretty much two guys who are just defensively inclined. is that experiment working?

No, you took it too far.
Other teams will get better, but other teams will get worse, it's only the nature of the beast.

Find a way to improve the draft position & take Kevin Love. He'll grow with the team.

That, and maybe Miami.
Wade/Marion/Brand/Lottery Pick.

So how do you assume less wins? Isn't it a zero sum game if teams get worse and teams get better?
