yup dallas will keep their pick making it just one pick to NJ... they will most likely not win championship anyway this year... they get an offseason to practice with kidd and get better... and they can pick up someone like scola/moon who have some experience playing international, college, or other leagues and have an immediate impact as they aren't players still getting rid of baby fat (outside those special top picks like beasley).

I'd think the Spurs would rather play Dallas than GS. GS has a lot of young, fresh legs and the Spurs are old and slow. Mavs play a much more similar style and have been all over the place late this season. Mavs could be very easy to eliminate, unless they pull things together ASAP.

From a marketing standpoint, the Mavs without Dirk are the vulnerable ones. A Dirk-less Mavs team wouldn't draw any ratings, while the Warriors and Nugz (especially the Warriors) both draw very high ratings and have flashy playing styles that draw fans into the game.
Even by skills, the Mavs without their franchise player is like the Warriors without Baron; add that to the fact that even with Dirk, they couldn't beat an above 500 team, and they are the ones to miss out.

Looks like I am right it will be either Golden State or Denver. It will come down to Thursday. Unless Dallas has colassal collapse last 5 games ( I can't see them losing to Seattle since they own under.500 teams and I think they beat Utah and the Hornets game will not matter because I think Dallas will secured by then, so that leaves the Portland game who knows with that one).
