Well they are D-Leaguers literally. They came from their, I don't think he meant it in a disrespectful way though.

Although Pierce is speaking the truth in this case, I think the fact that his team is finally having success has seriously gotten to his head.

Paul Pierce's lack of sportsmanship and respect for his competition this year is truly disgusting.

You can quote me on that too. It was a problem Pierce never had in the past but this year he has been sickening. People complain about Kobe (yes I went there) being arrogant but Kobe has nothing on the 2007-2008 version of Paul Pierce.

The bloke should really keep his mouth shut, he of all people know what its like to be on the worst team in the nba. Its not professional to insult the young blokes anyway.

Well, if Miami was not playing a team full of D-leaguers to finish off a successful tank, Pierce would not be able to make that statement, would he?

He was stating a fact. It wasn't really an insult.

When your best player is Chris Quinn, you're not gonna get much of respect...

I don't see anything wrong with Pierce's statement.

He said a team full of DLeaguers.....has DLeaguers out there??? The nerve of that man.

The NBA would be a lot more fun with trash talking (it creates rivalries) but when people get upset over a guy saying "they have DLeaguers out there" regarding a team with 6 DLeaguers, it's obvious why the athletes don't talk trash any more. The media and fans over analyze and overblow everyones comments these days.

It wasn't like he stepped to the podium and immediately said, "what an effortless game against a team of D-Leaguers!" Garnett was praising the Heat team and Pierce joking around was like come on man it's D-Leaguers out there. And Pierce is right. Being "mature" and "classy" by praising a team you just held to the least amount of FGs in a shotclock era game is absurd. Pierce's statement was more of a response to Garnett, then just outright saying it. And even so, he was merely speaking the truth. Yet it appears some of you think the truth should be distorted and hidden by the guise of "maturity."

Heat are hiring specialists. First the MDE for the 'ship, then the D-league squad for the tank.
