Granted Im a Magic fan but I believe they can. I ask is it that hard to believe they can win it all in the east.

The magic should be careful they won't be upset by Toronto, Philadelphia or Washington.

Yeah they can if Hedo and Rashard get crazy hot from three pt land.
But I can only see them upsetting the Pistons only if there is an injury to Chauncey or Rasheed. Otherwise, no way.
Boston they may have a chance if Pierce gets hurt.......

I can't see them beating a healthy Detroit team.
If they can get ahead of the Celtics early in a series they can definitely beat them. But they have to jump on them quickly.

Of course most people are going to say "not a chance", but I am next to positive that they haven't watched us all year long. I would almost conclude as well that they have no idea that we won the season series against Boston, with each win having us up by 15+ at one point of the game. A Detroit series can go either way (we tied the season series), but winning a 7 game series is not out of the question.

No, I just think most people don't place as much importance on regular season games as you do.
As already mentioned, the Magic need to worry about getting out of the first round before thinking about Detroit and Boston. It certainly isn't a given that they're a lock to make it to the second round.
As long as Lil Jameer is running the point the Magic aren't going very far in the playoffs.

honestly they aren't making it out of the first round if they play Philly or Washington.

They are too young I think to upset. You knew know though, this is the NBA.

If SVG can light a fire under the Magics a$$ I can see them dominating both those teams. If dwight comes comes with a NOBODY CAN STOP ME attitude no one will be able to stop them. My opinion . I know I will be attacked for saying that but I realy believe that they can. No one gave the Pistons a chance to beat the Lakers. No one gave the Warriors a chance to beat the Mavs. I know that either of those teams can beat the magic but I also believe it could go the other way just as easy.

A healthy Washington, maybe, but I'm not afraid of Philly at all... sure Andre Miller will go off on us, but Hedo and Shard + the 4 other 3 point shooters will go off on them...

The Magic have a 30% chance of being upset by the 6th seed, I also believe the have a 30% of upsetting the big dogs in the East. I think our lack of guard play would eventually end our playoffs run, but we do have a chance. Especially against Boston. Their point guard situation is not better than ours. Our star player can match with their star player during a series. Leaving it up to Allen/Pierce vs Lewis/Hedo. I would have to go with the veteran dominant team in this case, but I'd have to say, the Magic are one of the few teams, if not the only, that can match up decently with the Celtics.
On the other hand, the Pistons would beat us in 6 at the most. Their strength is our weakness "guard play". The only chance we stand is if they take us lightly as they are known to do in the playoffs

Could it happen? Sure. Will it? Hell no.
Bottom line: Orlando has terrible guards (for an upper echelon team, that is) and that won't get you very far in the playoffs.

Yeah they can... but I wouldn't bet money on it.

No team is going to knock orlando out of the first round this year. Toronto? no defense or rebounding. Philly? not enough offense. Washington? one of the worst teams at defending the 3 point line. With orlando having homecourt, the best player, and the best coach none of the above teams have a hope. Detorit is a better team than orlando plus play to orlandos weaknesses. An upset is unlikely. However, detroit just has something about them that is beatable, not sure how to explain it. On the otherhand, Boston is a more favorable matchup for orlando. They have no answer for dwight and overall orlando seems to play well against them. But beating detorit then boston would be huge upsets.
