Does this confirm how stupid the Knick's organization is?

All that wealth of knowledge and expertise available for the asking from HOFers and they don't use the resource. Truly idiotic.

Of course they hired Isaiah, who has messed up everything he's been associated with since his retirement as a player--that really says it all.

Just because he was a great defender doesn't make him a great teacher/coach.

Hell Isiah was better then Frazier as a player yet he has no clue how to run a team.

Walt Frazier was a fantastic defender and they didn't even give him a chance to TRY to teach the sort of defense he played, which spans eras because it didn't rely on hand-checking.

That's murderously incompetent on their part, especially in the post-Riley/JVG era when the Knicks could have really USED that type of coach.

Since when did we need confirmation that the Knicks' organization is stupid?

You can't teach defense to players that don't want to play it.

But no, every year when you see Ishia Thomas entering another year at the helm of the NY Knicks.. that's the sign of how stupid the Knicks org is

I watched the game and I'm pretty sure he didn't get the call.

as long as Thomas is their coach, their stupidity will not need clarification.

No, he didn't. Which is hilarious considering how hard he threw himself at the defender on that play trying to draw a foul.

Isaiah was very good, but anyone who thinks he was a better player than Frazier is delusional.

You can argue Magic was better than Frazier at the point--I myself don't believe it, having seen them both--Frazier was a much, much better deender than Magic--but that's the only other one who played the position that even compares. Isaiah was a nice player for sure, but Frazier had the complete package.

the complete lack of outreach to retired players by our organization to the point where you get the feeling they want nothing to do with them is nothing new.

No way, man. Bob Cousy was a better PG because he played a longer time ago.

There's really no way to know until someone lets him try. He couldn't do worse than whatever approach they have now.

Why would they need him? Isiah is their coach.

It makes no difference how long ago they played. There are some guys in the recent past (prime Payton for one) and maybe some playing today that will be in their primes better than Isaiah was. And Frazier was better than Payton too--a couple playing today might reach Walt's level, but that's setting the bar very high and it remains to be seen.

You've been reading too many (totally sterotyped and erroneous) posts by other posters here that think they have me pegged because I stand up for the old time players I actually saw play (not many of us here, and someone who actually saw the old timers play has to talk some sense and reality to you younger posters) Well they don't, and you don't, so why don't you be a good boy and go play in the traffic with the other know-it-all kiddies?
