Larry Hughes has 2 years left on his contract.

I had the displeasure of watching Hughes play in Cleveland and I can tell you that he took no less than 3 years off my life.

He made excuses, he whined, he complained. You would think that after all his "Cleveland isnt a good fit for me" talk that he would be tearing things up in Chicago...NOPE.

He has an even lower FG% in Chicago (37.3%) than he had in Cleveland (37.7%).

He is an absolutely pathetic piece of trash. It's only a matter of time before he claims that "Chicago isnt a good fit for me". All of his quotes in the media about how "he just wants to have fun" and how "playing hard isnt always smart" can only hurt his case.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if he retired at the end of his contract. He would be saving a lot of fans stress wherever he might end up.

So, maybe the NBA just isnt a good fit for Hughes. What do you think.

I'm pretty sure Danny Ferry, being the excellent GM he is, is just salivating over the thought of signing Larry Hughes when his contract expires.

Just let it go man. For as bad as Hughes was the Cavaliers were the idiots for signing him. Hughes has never been a good shooter and the Cavs signed him to that ridiculous contract off of that one season in Washington.

If they had even taken the time to check out his stats / watch film of Hughes in past years they would have known what they were getting in him, instead they just placed unrealistic expectations on a medicore NBA player.

On a side note... Hughes shoots better from the field than Sasha Pavlachick.

Larry will be 31 when the 09-10 season concludes. I don't think he'll be done in the NBA, but his days of making 12+ million a year will be over.

MLE-type player at best once his current contract expires.

He'll have another "contract" season and fool another GM into overpaying for him.

Hughes is garbage

Hughes isn't garbage when he's used right and not hurt. He's not a spot-up shooter and easy basket guy.

I think he's done right now.

I don't care, I'm just glad that he's out of Cleveland.

He'll end up just quitting so he can lie naked in bed with strippers rolling in his mounds of cash.

He's always been one of my least favorite NBA players even when he was having those two relatively good seasons with the Wizards. That said, he's a very fluid athlete who looks like a player; someone will take another chance on him even at age 31 . . . heck, they keep thinking Bonzi Wells will be a difference maker; guys with great tools and shaky mental games seem to be eveyone's favorite reclamation projects.

It will be interesting to see if Hughes can boost his play in his upcoming contract year. I think with Larry, as has been said, it's really a mental issue. I watched him play in Washington, where he had at least two good years, and there's really no reason he should be this bad, now.

To the OP, there's no way he'll be out of the league in two years. I've seen him stink it up for the Cavs for a while (although I haven't seen him play yet on the Bulls) and I'd still be alright if Wizards management rolled the dice and signed him to a reasonable contract after his current one expires. I just wouldn't expect him to be anything more than a solid bench player.

Bonzi's a proven playoff performer and was a key guy with the Rockets and would of continued to be so... he has had some issues since his Portland days, but did not with the Kings and not with Rockets under Adelman. Not really a significant technical foul guy (at least not anymore, he may of been earlier in his career).

Bonzi's ability will keep him around a little while more. He's a unique wing-player.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease don't bring him back to the Wizards. I'd take a lot of Roger Masons before I'd want Hughes, even at the veterans minimum.

Worse than they are now because they'd have a terrible player in Hughes ruining what they have.

Hughes is just terrible. I want the Bulls to either bench him or cut him outright. He's taking time away from a much better player defensively and a much smarter player offensively in Sefolosha.

Hughes takes a lot Kobe type shots. Only thing is, his jumper is barely average if that.

He'll sign with GS if he's smart because and he can backup Baron Davis or Monte Ellis. That is best case scenario but that probably wont work either.

I can tell you have watched alot of Larry lately, cause that's a perfect description of his game.
