NBA Finals - Home Court Advantage ...

Just curious,

In MLB, the winner of the All-Star Game represents the league that will have home field advantage in the World Series.

Should the NBA do the same thing for the NBA Finals, so that All-Stars won't be sitting out the AllStar Game.

Should the NBA follow MLB and allow the winner of the AllStar Game be the Conference that will have Home Court Advantage in the NBA Finals?

NOTE: The reason I say this is so that if one conference is totally superior to another one then it at least gives the superior conference some hope that they can get some type of advantage in a series instead of having to play tough teams in every series with no real advantage.

No, in baseball you play only one division from the opposing league. In the NBA you play every team in the other conference twice. If the team from the other conference is completely superior home court doesn't matter any way.

It would make the All Star game more exciting, but it's a terrible idea.

Not as long as people vote in all-star starters.
