Shaq is angry that people are calling Dwight Superman and not him. Is he right that Dwight has no right to be called by that nickname? How do i make the link clickable?

Big Man Ordinance Code 2257: a lesser big man shall not insult, decry, or raise question about a superior big man in any way, shape, or form. Specifically, "No big man under should talk about a big man above."
You know this, Shaq.

"The real Superman is dead. He was assassinated by Pat Riley. I'm the Big Cactus now, and ready to roll again."
That's an awesome quote right there.

I don't know, Superman is kind of a collective, career thing. As much as I despise what Saq O'Crap is doing to my favorite franchise with that gigantic mouth of his, it's his accomplishments that make him Superman. Dwight, right now, can only dream of doing what The Big Saq has done...

no offence to dwight but shaq has done some great stuff, and was really "dominant"

Why does every time he open his mouth does he have to comment about the heat? I bet he even puts down the heat in his sleep,
"....Pat...sucks.....I'm awesome....heat owe me......blah (drools)........wade play no d....quinn....who? (takes bite of chicken wing while still asleep)....mmm chicken"

Shaq has tried to force the nickname upon himself, and even then it didn't stick.
Dwight just tried to put on a show and now people call him Superman.

Well if this is the qualification for being called Superman then Jordan should be Superman and everyone should just STFU. You don't get nicknames for what you've done in your career, otherwise C. Anderson wouldn't have been Birdman, he wouldn't have a nick at all. You get a nickname because that's what the fans, media, your teamates want to call you.
The fact is that Shaq has proclaimed himself Superman for so long but it has never caught on. Dwight on the otherhand did something that made the media and most everyone else start calling him Superman.
Why do people call Tony Battie Batman? I'm pretty sure it's not because of his career stats, it's because it connects and it sticks. And Shaq, no matter how hard he tries, specially at this point in his career will never be known as Superman.

Superman didn't stick on SHAQ because SHAQ isn't fast, doesn't fly and he just doesn't conjour up images of Superman despite his tattoo. Superman stuck on Dwight because Dwight wore the Superman uniform.

Well, different actors have played the part of Superman over the years. Why not basketball players?
Kurt Rambis is Superman too...

hmmm, thats funny. when shaq was putting down the LAKERs, many here were saying "they deserve it, they dogged him"
but all of the sudden when he talks trash about the heat, "hey shaq is a bad guy."
give me a break.

Well, it doesn't necessarily connect in any REAL sense...obviously it's just because of his last name. Not because of his personality, something he did on the court, or his style of play, etc.
I didn't even know he was "Batman" until he came to the Magic, to be honest.
(Battie's the man, though. Just sayin')
But yeah, Shaq is Superman because of his bigger than life persona, his dominance, his love for the character, the tattoo, that sort of thing.
Dwight is a different actor taking on the role, just like in TV and in the movies. He's a dominant, musclular big who flies through the air and is a rebounding machine. The image of him soaring to the hoop with the Superman outfit on and the red cape floating behind him will always be an iconic image of him.

Shaq gives himself too many nicknames for him to be allowed to copyright one like Superman. IMO He is always going to be the Big Diesel and that is that, Superman is up for grabs and Dwight fits the bill so he can have it.
