GSW is definitely not overrated, tough to pick an overrated team out west.

Cavs are indeed probably the most overrated in the East.

warriors aren't overrated. they're a lower tier borderline playoff team with a puncher's chance of getting the upset but no real chance at the title. i think everyone would rate them around that.

Washington is playing pretty good right now. Cavs better watch out or else they will be playing at Washington for the first 2 games of that series and could be in danger of loosing it.

Cleveland is possibly the most overrated team in the league

The Cavs & Lebron are over-rated! YES I SAID IT

Golden State on the other hand are far from it. . .depending on who they play, they have a legit chance of making it to the 2nd round once again this year! Then who knows from there. . .

As much as I've been "standings-watching" the past few weeks, and as much as I would love for that to unfold, I just can't see it happening.

Washington's last 5 games

vs. Boston
@ Detroit
vs. Philadelphia
vs. Indiana
@ Orlando

Cleveland's last 5 games

vs. New Jersey
@ Chicago
vs. Miami
@ Philadelphia
vs. Detroit

---------------------------------------

At best, I see the Wizards going 4-1, and that's being very generous. They'll probably go 3-2, or maybe even 2-3.

At worse, I see the Cavaliers going 2-3. They'll probably go 3-2, though.

So even taking the Wizards' probable best and the Cavs' probable worst, they'll only be tied with identical records, and the season series is tied at 2 apiece. Not sure what determines a tiebreaker in that circumstance.

But my main point is that the stars would have to align perfectly for the Wizards to overtake Cleveland for the 4th seed.

Had Washington not blown a 10pt lead to the Bucks the other night and had the Cavaliers not won against Charlotte with a fouled-out LeBron, our chances would have skyrocketed, but what happened happened. No changing the past.

Yes, both teams are very over rated.

Cavaliers would have secured a lottery pick about a month ago if they played in the west.

Denver is most overrated team in the West. Cleveland is the undisputed one in the East.

Cavs are not a legit title contender... the reason being their lack of balance from their offensive limitations. Relying too much on LeBron.

The media overlooks this a lot, and I don't know why. I guess they're too caught up in LeBron. LeBron is definitely amazing, top 10/12 favorite player of mine - but he's just one guy, and the offensive drop off to the rest of the team is serious.

They need to get LBJ a credible side-kick. And in part to doing that, LeBron has to play off the ball more so that can also allow for that 2nd guy to play as more than basically just a shooter, cutter, and ball-mover. The role-players are already there to do that. So aside from doing that stuff, the #2 can create for himself and others. It shouldn't and can't just be others playing off of LeBron (for the most part).

-------------

Warriors I think are fine, they are what they are... talented playoff team that's really fun to watch. No one is really putting them in title contention talk. And rightfully so.

Golden State and Denver aren't overrated, because everybody realizes they have significant weaknesses..

Utah is the most overrated team in the West IMO..they have the road record of a lottery team, which won't work out well in the playoffs IMO..pretender..

I don't know why Utah's so bad on the road this season... was Fisher really that much of a factor? I guess if so, he was like their coach on the floor, keeping them focused and tough and confident. And now nobody's really experienced, vocal enough to be doing that from a player stand-point.

I'd say the Cavs and Lakers. There is so much hype around the Lakers based on nothing. Gasol and Bynum have never played a game which had any meaning whatsoever. Bryant although the best player in the league hasnt been able to take them out of the first round for the past few years. Thats why I think it's a little strange to see threads popping up about Lakers vs Celtics in the finals and a 70 win season.

Toronto belongs here. Although they aren't highly touted, they are given more respect than a sub .500 team possibly headed for the 8th seed should be given.

The warriors aren't overated at all they have the ability to upset any team. And if they get hot could win a title. It's not likely that they would win a title but they hustle have energy and play with a chip on their shoulders so they are a dark horse.

The cavs are a solid team but aren't really a special team. Lebron is beyond special but as a team the cavs are really average.

gasol's known talent and instant integration into the lakers offense and bynum's huge potential that he was showing is not "nothing".

Hard to really call any of the top 9 teams in the West overrated.

BTW, Warriors have a very solid road record, can you really call a team that plays well on the road and will get about 50 wins for the season overrated?

And who exactly is saying Cavs are a great team?

I dont see how a team fighting to make the playoffs in the tough western conference can be overrated. You cant confuse enjoying the warriors style with overrating them.

Cavs are overrated because of lebron. Its funny people are considering lebron in the mvp talk when his team is 4th in the weak eastern conference. Lebron is playing out of his mind, but his team isnt which makes doesnt make him mvp material.
