Took long enough for them to let Dantley in.

It's about time for Adrian Dantley. The man was incredibly efficient for a wing and obliterates Jordan(who's usually the benchmark for efficiency from a high scoring wing) and plenty of big guys in the department. 23k points should have made him 1st ballot. I know he didnt do much else, but he was still an awesome player and its a tragedy that Petrovic got in and he didn't.

Riley & Ewing, too.

All 3 are in some manner some of the best, if not the best, at their respective positions.

Dick Vitale? Please... This is why the HOF is a joke, we need a separate NBA HOF.

When is Dennis Rodman up for the Hall? I didn't like his antics, but there's no doubt he was a great player and should be inducted.
Dennis Johnson-all defense team several years, former Championship MVP, great clutch player. Larry considered him the greatest player he played with, and I know there are Celtics fans who agree with that. Hopefully he'll be inducted in the future.
Pat Riley-hasn't had much success outside of his Lakers days. I think a lot of members here could have successfully coached the 1980's Lakers teams, so I really don't think he should have made it.

He's built championship caliber teams in NY and Miami, and has a knack for finding the Anthony Masons, Bruce Bowens, Udonis Haslems, Ike Austins, Rafer Alstons, Damon Jones, Mike James of the league and getting the most of them for his teams when they were nothing but discards from overseas or other teams.

He's had success wherever he's been, even post-LA. He's won and built a championship team in Miami, let alone 5 conference finals appearances.

Agreed, Riley most definitely belongs in the HOF. I'm glad to see Hakeem, Ewing, and Dantley (finally!) get in.

A completely lopsided trade helped him win the one Championship. He's had some success but that shouldn't be enough to get a coach in the hall IMO.
