Why doesn't Dallas run more?
After getting Jason Kidd I figured that they would push the ball up the floor faster but they play at the same pace. I liked the old New Jerser team whe they had Kittles and Martin because that when Jason Kidd was at his best. I feel that if they just let Kidd run the show they would be much better. I guess I'm used to seeing Kidd leading the break being followed by Martin or Jefferson for the finish. That could be Nowitzki, Howard, Stackhouse, or Terry fishining behind Kidd. But then again it just me.

I understand that Avery is opposite of Nellie and doesn't want to run. But I thought that they made the move to Kidd because they were going to run more. If not, then why make the move at all? Avery's offense is just exposing one on one mismatches. Harris is a much more explosive one on one player than Kidd is . Making Kidd a half court system pg is like making Micheal Vick a pocket passing quarterback.

Exactly. Making the trade that they did for Kidd and not adapting to and utilizing his key strengths is just unfathomable.

because they can play defense now a days. I thought they moved away from the running due to it not being successfull in the playoffs.
J-Kidd should help half court just as much in a run game. He was once considered a really good defender. They need to install some motion offense to take advantage of J-Kidds passing rather then the isos.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I said it before and I'll say it again. A run and gun offence works if you have the righe personnel.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that the Mavs adopt the Suns or Warriors offense. There is a middle ground.
