Wow. 3 or 4 games left for each team and they are all within one game.
So who do you think gets each seed?

Right now SA, LAL, and Houston are all 2 games back of NO, Pho is 2 1/2 and Utah is 3.
SA has vs Sea, @ LAL, @SAC(b2b), and vs. Utah.
LAL has @ LAC, vs. NO(b2b), vs. SA, and vs. Sac
Utah has @ Dal, vs. Den, vs. Hou, and @ SA (no b2bs)
Hou has vs. Pho, @ Den, @ Utah(b2b), and vs. LAC
Pho has @ Hou, vs. GS, and vs. POR, (no b2bs)

So games left between these five are SA@Lal, SA vs. Utah, Utah vs. Hou, and Hou vs. Pho.

Assume NO gets the 1, Dallas gets the 7, and GS/Denver get the 8. How do you think seeds 2-6 will look? Utah gets a 2-4 seed because they have clinched their division. Lal or Pho have to get a 2-4 seed also, with Lal holding the tiebreaker.

I think the final west standings will look like
1. NO
2. LAL
3. PHO
4. Utah
5. SA
6. Houston
7. Dallas
8. GS
9 and pissed off. Denver

Note: I think LAL loses 1 more game, SA 2, Phoenix none, Utah 1, and Houston 3.

All of these teams have pretty much the same schedule. I don't think the standings will change much. I think Phoenix will lose either to the Warriors or the Rockets and Portland isnt as easy as it seems either. Now I am a Suns fan and they are certainly playing pretty good atm but you have to be realistic. The Warriors will be fighting for their last chance and if t-mac gets it going you never know.

I don't think the Lakers will lose 3 games so they will be ahead of Phoenix. I really don't see the Spurs lose to both Utah and the Lakers. Therefor these two teams will be seed 2/3.

I can see the Suns being the 5th seed and the Rockets 6th. I am not sure if the Suns want that though. It might be preferable to face the Lakers in the first round.

I'd love to see a Spurs-Jazz first round series.

The league will be better off if only one of those teams makes it to the second round.

Unfortunately, I worry that we'll be forced to see one of the Lakers or the Suns lose in the first round.

You're right, nobody wants to see the best team it he NBA over the past 5 years go anywhere in the playoffs, or one of the highest scoring, high efficiency offenses in the league. The NBA would hate to see that.

I'm pretty sure no one wants to see more of the spurs.

Except for all the Spurs fans but they don't matter do they? Oh wait what about the large population of bandwagoners that have jumped on that gravy train?

I mean last years WC finals were kind of boring, so I'm not surprised people feel the way do. The Spurs dominated the Jazz
