WAS and ORL favourites to win the east?

There have been many threads and posts on general board in the last few weeks that ORL and WAS have a very good chance of beating BOS and DET. It looks like these two teams are becoming the teams to beat in the east and BOS and DET have been dropped to second tier on this board.
It seems like the wizards and magic are now favourites to represent the eastern conference in the finals. Do you think BOS and DET stand a realistic chance against ORL and WAS or are the two just to good to be beaten in a 7 game series?

no i dont think they are "the favorites" at all, maybe the favorite dark horses...no matter what Detroit and Boston are THE favorites, and rightfully so...obviously it would be illogical to sleep on Orlando and Washington, as well as maybe Cleveland if they can work that rotation out and get over the hump. But I wouldn't bet my stack on those teams at this point...

The sad thing is, I don't even think Detroit is in Boston's class.
But the Wizards have played well against Boston this year, could be an interesting match up.

Wizards fans seem to have a false sense of confidence. Didn't the Spurs and Cavs split last year? Regular season means little when the playoffs start. Boston and Detroit still have very good defenses and are still the favorites.

Is this one of those, "I'm going to make an off-the-wall thread as a reaction to other threads" thread?
These are my favorite kinds.
Yes, Boston and Detroit should be happy to make it to the second round and enjoy the experience.

Atlanta isn't getting enough support as the clear favourite. 10-4 in their last fourteen games, they are definitely the cream of the crop.

Whilst Washington won't be the favs, it wouldn't surprise me to see them beat anyone. Their so-so record is because of the toll injuries have taken. A healthy Wiz team would probably have a 50+ win season.
Even last season, a weaker Wiz team was on top of the East, if only for a few days before injuries decimated the team.

Yes, Boston is clearly a second tier team. All they do is beat everyone but hey, sometimes they LOSE. That clearly is the chink in their armor. Now that teams know that all they have to do to beat the Celtics is to beat them, the Celtics are pretty much done.
And the Pistons are lucky they even made the playoffs what with all those powerhouse EC teams. Why, they couldn't even beat the Knicks the other night. The Knicks! What kind of nerve does a team have to lose to the Knicks and then consider themselves a playoff team? What a joke.
