Why doesn't the NBA do series like the MLB?

I never knew baseball worked like this but apperently since baseball has a game basically every day and their players get tired they'll have their away and home games in "series". Like if Detroit has to play at Kansas City 3 or 4 games they'll get em all done in a row.
Why doesn't the NBA do this to avoid the horrors of travel?

Because it quickly becomes dull? Not playing the same team over and over again adds much more excitement to the season.

Why doesn't the NBA become more like the MLB? Because the NBA doesn't want to bore its audience.

They do it in the finals. They do this so homecourt is not over used. A TEAM COULD possibly sweep a team if they have all 4 games at home. That's one reason I THINK.

And its sad to say but would you want to see your team play the Heat four times in a row?

He's talking about playoff series. Instead of alternating home and away games, they play at a certain arena consecutively for 3 or 4 games, then travel to the opposing team's arena to play out the rest of the series.

Are you talking about the regular season?
There isn't really any need to do it in the NBA because there is only 82 games. You aren't going to play more than 2 games at a place.

It just doesn't have any real benefits in terms of scheduling. MLB teams can play their division opponents 18 or 19 times, NBA teams don't play anyone more than 4 times.

every now and then you see the same two teams playing back to back against each other at both arenas, sometimes on consecutive nights.
they could save money if they needed to by having for example the hornets get both games at portland or sacramento in on the same trip, or have the clippers play at new orleans for example on monday and wednesday night

its too boring. Im a jays fan and I only watch like one game each series. It gets to boring. And it would be even worse in basketball. At least in baseball you have different pitchers each games.
