With all the emerging stars coming into the league (Gay, Granger, Calderon, Martin) there have also been players who have failed to meet expectations. Who do you think has been the most dissapointing players this season? By dissapointing I mean that they were primed to have a big season and didnt meet expectations, or they unexpectadly put up career lows in important categories.

My Candidates:
Dwyane Wade - Obviously the guy was hurt this season but after everyone going crazy over the guy being one of the best players in the league he didnt meet that expectation. He turned the ball over constantly as he lead his team to the worst record in the league.

Emeka Okafor - As of now he hasnt lived up to his hype, hes been healthy all season long and I dont know if its that hes not being used properly and hes in the wrong offensive style but hes not putting up the numbers he should be. Maybe he should be trded for someone who works better in the Bobcats system?

Luol Deng - In the offseason he was being touted as the Bulls franchise player and many on this board werent willing to give him up in the Kobe rumored trades. Like many of the Bulls he has regressed or not improved at all.

Kirk Hinrich - He has been terrible this season shooting just 41% from the field. Yet another Bull that has failed to meet expectations this season.

Zach Randolph - He put up career numbers last season (24 and 10) and has proven hes one of the best rebounders in the league but hasnt proved that he fits on the Knicks and doesnt play within the offense.

Darko Milicic - He may be a good defender but he has put up awful stats on the offensive end and after complaining last season (and his whol career) about playing time and role hes just not as good as he thinks he is. Did anyone else think he may show a little bit more in Memphis and more so after the Darko trade.

What other players havent met expectations this year? Who has failed to meet expectations the most?

D-Wade still put up HUGE numbers while having numerous injuries all season so take him off. Okafor had a nice year too this year but everyone else is spot on.

How about Andrea Bargnani? The #1 pick in the 06 draft and in his Sophomore season his numbers have dropped in nearly every single category (only exception being assists, which went from 0.8 to 1.2).

woah woah woah your trying to saying 9 and 43 or whatever he lead the heat to after winning a championship 2 years ago isnt failing to meet expectations? As the savior of the Heat expectations for Wade are to lead the team to victory and being one of the best teams other players have had equal or worse talent around them and have a better record.

Andrea Bargani might be the best one actually. Expecations for him by some Raptors homers were way too high and he hasnt even come close meeting them and has actually gotten worse rather than improve. Raptors are looking dumb right now.

Luol Deng & Ben Gordon come to mind.

I dont really expect Gordon to really do expand his game much further he will always be that guy that can score from anywhere and will get you 4 rebounds and 4 assists in his prime, maybe 5 assists if he gets more of a point guard role but on hte Bulls i think he gets has more of an SG role (Bulls fans corect me if im wrong). But after looking at his stats from this and last he has gone down in almost every number other than FT%. This is also in his contract year isnt it? Both Deng and Gordon have been very strange as unlike Hinrich they are still trying to prove they are worth big dollars.
