everybody is saying how great the west is and rightfully so but the mavs and spurs are still at the top of the class in this conference. both teams have had the most injuries to key players and yet are still in the playoffs. for the spurs duncan, parker, and ginobili have all missed significant time, and for the mavs before the trade devin harris was out a month, stack has been out alot of the season dirk isnt healthy, damp and j ho have all missed time, if the mavs and spurs were as healthy as say the jazz, hornets, and lakers they could have an additional 8 to 10 wins this season and be pushing 50

the lakers have been no where near healthy this year.
houston hasn't been healthy this year and they still managed to play well.
the other tems managed to squeek out slightly mroe wins while being injured.

The Spurs are still the champs until someone beats them. But calling them the best based on the regular season is pretty dumb. They have looked old, rusty and lackadaisical at times. They're the oldest team in the league and it's showing.
Dallas has suffered big injuries just like every other top team in the West (excluding the Hornets of course). They don't seem to have the depth that they once had and J. Ho is not the same player for whatever reason.
This is the deepest conference in NBA history. We won't know which team is the best until the end of the WCC.

Lakers were not healthy at all this year. Houston has been missing their second best player for a while now. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Dunno what sounds funnier from this thread if the Lakers being healthy this season or Yao being the second best player in the Rockets.

hehehe, only on realgm. what a great thread to start on a day the spurs get obliterated by the lakers and the mavs lose to one of the worst teams in the nba.

Don't let this Dallas fan speak for all of us.
The Hornets, the Jazz have been relatively healthy. The Nuggets and Suns have been healthier than years past. But anyone claiming the Rockets or Lakers were healthy is obviously delusional.
IMO, the Suns are best suited for any matchup thrown at them from the emergence of the scrub-Diaw to the productive-Diaw at PF with Amare at center in the R&G offense. Then Nash can seemlesly switch to half court with Shaq at center. Not saying that they will go all the way, because any of the teams can, but I think they7 are the only tru team that should not care who their opponent is.
