LA over Denver (Easy)
Dallas over New Orleans (even though Dirk can't rebound anymore)
Phoenix over San Antonio (easy choice for me)
Utah over Houston (This I can bet my life on it)

I don't see LA going anywhere with that porous P&R defense and an incredibly rusty Bynum (is if he plays), and I like the Suns chances this year. Shaq's gonna be a monster against Duncan.

Lakers in 5

The Lakers are just the better team, and I don't see a #1 seed losing two years in a row. The Nuggets expended a lot of energy to get where they are and I don't think they have what it takes to unseat the Lakers. The Melo/Odom matchup should be interesting though.

Mavericks in 7*

Can the Mavericks really lose twice in a row in the first round? As much as I love this Hornets team and think their day will come, I think this Mavericks team has too much playoff experience to lose. Kidd just dropped a triple-double on the Hornets and Dampier provides more muscle than the Hornets can field. Dirk is also three inches taller than West, which can create a problem if Dirk can generate his own offence.

Spurs in 5

The Spurs are back and they're hungry. They may not win it again this year Duncan's rebounding is back up over 11 per game and they have a nice balance of veteran players. They might even try to push it against Shaq, strange as calling a track meet against the Suns sounds. I think this series will test that trade and I think the Spurs will win again.

Jazz in 7

I like the Jazz in this series again because I don't think the Rockets have done enough since last time to put themselves over the top. The Jazz are a young team improving from within, and that improvement has made them a legitimate repeat contender. Houston's had moments like the big streak but hasn't shown me the necessary components to go deep. Rafer Alston being big in the regular season can be inspiring at the time but won't stand up to Deron, for one.

*If I'm wrong on a series, this is it. I do like this Hornets team too so I wouldn't put anything past them. Odd as it seems for 2 vs. 7, I think this is the best series of them all.

Lets be honest here man, were both grown and all that good stuff. I just don't see Denver beat Los Angeles in a 7 game series.

SF:Odom/Anthony
PF:Radmanovic/Martin
C:Gasol/Camby
SG:Bryant/Iverson
PG:Fisher/Carter

Bottom line the Nuggets defence in bad as all hell, and the energy that they put out just to make the playoffs, they may win one but it won't be in my house.

Laker in 4 you just pissed me off
