The playoffs are about to start but my question is, does anyone give a d*** whats happening in the east. the bottom four seeds dont even belong in the playoffs and outside of bos and det the other two top seeds dont really mean much. I know everyone likes the 1 to 16 playoff format but i truely feel that this could be the best playoffs of all time if you could throw golden state and portland in and remove phi and atlanta, any thoughts?

Up until Detroit faces off with Boston... there isn't really much of a reason to give a serious fark

I heard Colin Cowherd today compare the Eastern conference playoffs to the NIT. I thought that was great.

The two best teams are in the East though,

The NIT with UNC and Kansas maybe. No one cares about the first round of the east except for Was/Cle because the other 3 everyone already knows who will win. Bos/Det/Orl.

yeah. that will be awesome

but as a raptors fan, i'm excited about them playing orlando. a few weeks ago, when it looked like toronto would be playing clev, and then det, i lost all interest in the east playoffs. i think orlando will win, but at least there is a chance tor can make it interesting. and howard VS bosh should be fun

The East playoffs are nothing like the WC, but they will be worth watching. Phili-Det and Cleveland-Wash will both be very interesting series.

Yeah, I'm going to watch every game of every series

Yes, I care what's going on in the East. I enjoy watching NBA teams that don't get much air time out of their local broadcast.

There's history and drama behind every game.

I think the EC semi finals will be good. The first round will be awful and I think thats why nobody cares. But round 2 where you got Boston/Cleveland and Detriot/Orlando. I think people will care a lot about those series.

The West just has 4 great series in round one. All of those with maybe the exception of LA/Denver...would probably have been WC finals or at least semi-finals in any other year.

boston and detroit first rounds will be snoozers. i'm intrigued by the orlando/toronto and cleveland/washington matchups simply because of the fan base rivalry here on realgm. it'll make for some good reading.

If the Warriors were in, the West playoffs would be the most exciting by far. But the Lakers-Kings rivalry was still the best IMO.
