Which Finals matchup do you want?

Post#1 » by OldSchoolNoBull » Sun Apr 20, 2008 12:03 am

I know it's only day one of the playoffs, but I think we all have preferred finals matchups...so, who do you want?

My team(the Bulls) are at home, but I want the Celtics to win the championship. I want KG to get his ring and above all I want the Finals to be exciting(they haven't been in a long while) and I think Boston is the only team that can give any of the big Western teams a real series(I don't even think the Pistons can anymore).

So...my preferences are in this order:

1.Boston/LA - re-igniting this legendary rivalry would be amazing.

2.Boston/SA - the Duncan/KG playoff matchup many of have been wanting to see for a decade.

3.Boston/Phoenix - No way that wouldn't be a great series.

P.S.I wanted to put Detroit/New Orleans in the poll too but you can't exceed 10 options and I didn't want to leave the 'other' option out.

Spurs in the Finals would ruin everything the NBA accomplished this season...

1. Bos/Lakers
2. LA/Cleveland
3. Boston/Phoenix

I'd like to see Sixers vs anyone, but that isn't happening so I'll go with Spurs/Pistons. I'm a boring person.

I'd love either of those.

Detroit and San Antonio.
We and Rasheed need redemption for the series in 2005.

Detroit/LA, would be their 4th finals meeting in the last 20 years, if I'm not mistaken that's the most between any two teams in that time period. It would also be their 8th combined title over that span. Not bad.

Det/Phx I've been wanting this match up since like 2005, granted PHX is different now, but it would still be fun. Plus the 4th time Shaq's had to take on Detroit in the last 5 years.

Should Detroit lose
Boston/LA - Pretty much nuff said on that.
