So much for the Jazz not being able to win on the road.

So this was the biggest complaint about the Jazz coming into the post season, and now they have won 2 straight on the opposing teams home floor despite battling injures and foul trouble.
Is it safe to say the Jazz road woes were overrated coming into the playoffs?

No... it isn't overrated...
I don't believe they can win in LA or SA...

They played the Houston Rockets, everyone was licking their chops to have at them.

The Jazz were 17-24 on the road. You don't overrate it or underrate it. It's their away record.

yea but they beat like all the elite teams away from home...just can't beat spurs in playoffs

Keep in mind the Jazz played the Rockets when they were missing 2 of their starters.

You guys played a depleted Rockets, so no in reality it doesn't count. Win one or two in SA or LA, and then it will count for a significant road win.

Hahaha, doesn't count. Going into a hostel environment and winning TWO games in the playoffs doesn't count.
And wins over Phoenix, Boston, Detroit and the Nuggets don't count either?

Weren't you the same guy who was discrediting the 22 win streak the Rockets had saying they played weak teams? Oh the irony.

OK, if you think you got a major achievement by winning 2 games in Houston, you are wrong. Any western conference team could have done this, everyone wanted to play Houston. We are injured, easiest to play in the playoffs. Who wouldn't want to play us? Wins over Boston, PHX, etc, are regular season, playoffs are different IMO. It's nothing new that you guys beat Houston at Toyota Center since you had done it last year also. When I say it doesn't count, I mean that your road woes are gone just because you beat an injury depleted team that you had previously beat. If it is to be something significant that you are looking for, aim for a win against LA at Staples which is 10x tougher than winning at Toyota Center IMO.

Do you want a cookie or a prize?
Everyone was hoping to be locked into the Houston match up for a reason, if you want to make it more than what it is... great, but it isn't something to be in awe of or to use as tangible proof that Utah's road woes are overrated.

It sucks that the Jazz are battling injuries. I'm pretty impressed they found a way to win these 2 games despite being depleted and banged up.
Seriously though, I think it's too early to say. I want to see them play a good team(since the Rockets are horrible). If they can win in LA or SA I'd be impressed, and I don't see why they can't(though I still think the Spurs are the best team in the West).

I agree that, because of the fact that the Rockets are missing two starters, the two wins in Houston aren't that big of a deal. However, people do tend to make way too much of the Jazz's road struggles. Firstly, their road record mainly looks so bad because of how terrible it was in December; they've had a solid road record ever since they traded for Korver and Okur got healthy. Secondly, while they have struggled on the road against bad teams, they've won a lot of road games against good teams, which is much more indicative of playoff success on the road. It's still going to be tough to win in L.A. or San Antonio, though.

What is then, the fact that they won in Boston, Detroit, Phoenix, Orlando, Golden State, Denver, New Orleans... Houston three times.
Did someone else do that that I am forgetting about of are the Jazz the only team...

If we can steal one from LA, THEN lets revisit this.
If we can take two in LA, lets sticky this thread.
