Best Player Making Less Then The MLE?

Who currently is the best player in the NBA making less then the MLE which is set around 5.4 million for 2007-08 season. Id like to try and stay away from those minimum salaried players that broke out this season to be more (example Brandon Bass, Beno Udrih, etc.) and id like to stick with the guys who were actually signed for the MLE or part of the MLE with hopes that they would produce and be a big part of the lineup (example Jared Jeffries, Jeff Foster). Id also like to stay away from players with Rookie contracts as they will likely be getting paid more when there contract expires (Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Deron Williams). The goal of this thread I hope is to see what type of value a player that is signed to the MLE holds, and if the money teams give out for players that make the MLE is actually worth it.

So who do you think is the best player being paid at or less than the MLE?

this is the website I used for salaries, I couldnt find a website that filtered out all players making over the MLE so just click on the roster of a player that you have in minds team and go from there.

Rafer Alston makes 4.5 million this year so he qualifies I dont know if I would put him over Anthony Parker or not though.

Jose Calderon (and he was not drafted, its not a "rookie" contract and he was not signed at a minimum, so its meets your silly criteria before you scream out to me that I can't read)

to an ascending contract. These are players making less then the MLE.

He might not even count in the posters question just because he would have been making the MLE when you signed him. Not less then.

Grant Hill.... per million is the best player.

at $1 million a year... so yes, million per million, Hill wins this.
