C-Webb to TNT

Post#1 » by Ballings7 » Fri Apr 25, 2008 8:40 pm

TNT has added recently-retired forward Chris Webber to their stable of former players turned television personalities, according to Media Week.

Webber will join the network's on-air team as both an analyst, commentator and contributor to NBA.com.

He'll join the likes of Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith.

"We have had Chris in as a guest on our NBA studio show on a number of occasions and have always thought highly of his abilities to be both candid and outgoing," said Jeff Behnke, Turner Sports senior vp and executive producer

Awesome move :)

He's fit in well whenever he's been on there, last time especially

That'll be interesting with him doing games... I think he'd do well there, also.

Good news! Chris seems like a good guy and he's always been media-friendly, so it's not surprising that he's going to be part of the media now.

I think he'll do well.

He was pretty good that when he was with Charles and E.J . So sounds like a nice move.

But at-least Magic is likable; I don't think Reggie is that likable.

C-Webb is a very likable guy and I think he'll do well.

I think he'll fit in well. He won't be too serious, like Magic kinda is, but he'll also provide great analysis.

Boring. Yet another reason to put the pre/post-game on mute.

Oh wow... -10

Why even have those shows on if you're going to put it on mute, though? Especially the post-game show.

Doesn't make sense to me, since you could go to bed, do something else, or watch something else.

i thought he and charles had great chemistry. he didn't seem at all out of his element and he can dish it as well.

inside the nba rules.

i love how last night kenny and charles were talking about lebron and how charles asked kenny if he thinks lebron is like mutumbo, lying about his age.

they're like he's secretly 28 or 30. that comment about lebron saying he lets his son listen to soulja boy did it for charles. charles joked his son must be 11 or something. lmao!

Is it that hard to not watch the pre/post game shows if you dont like them? How dumb is it to have someone complain about show that they can choose not to watch??

its okay, i just find it hard to listen to old multi-millionaires cackle about nothing for extended periods of time.

As opposed to middle class guys cackle about nothing? At least the TNT guys know basketball.

C-Webb is a great addition. TNT really knows what they're doing. I wish I could say the same for ESPN.
