I do feel kinda bad for Dirk. He is the freshest thing on that team. The Mavs are turning from a finely aged sharp vintage cheddar to a very old & moldy stinky cheese, very quickly in this series...

Kinda hard to be compeititive when only 3 players on the team showed up for the series (Dirk, and Terry/Bass to an extent).

J-Ho can come to NOLA in the offseason if he wants. I'm sure he'd be more comfortable with the WF/Prosser connection with Paul/West.

Soon after, a Hornets' fan was ejected for jawing wildly with Dallas owner Mark Cuban on the sideline.
wrong. it was actually a Mavs fan saying, ehm, "inappropiate" things to Chris Paul. Cuban took exception and had the guy booted.

I thought it was more than a hard foul. I mean come on Kidd grabbed his neck and pulled him down while his feet were off the ground. You better believe if it was the other way around there would have been a suspension.
Just as well anyway. I want to see the Hornets beat them full strenth so we won't have to hear excuses.

I think it looked worse than it was. Now if Pargo hadn't braced himself and actually sustained an injury as a result, you might see the NBA act differently. After the Spurs/Suns fiasco last year, I gather they're shying away from playoff suspensions.
F-2 + ejection was the good call at the time. No suspension necessary...and honestly I imagine the Hornets would love to see Kidd on the floor for game 5, for a variety of reasons.

The Hornets are going to get ready to get thumped by the Spurs. I give them a very little chance to win even though they have homecourt, Spurs have proved it year in and year out, it doesn't matter where they play, they can win.

) win that in 5 games. Six as a decent possibility.
I just think they'll be too much overall for New Orleans. I would consider it kind of an upset if SA lost.

I'd consider it an upset as well. I think they'd get a game or two, and at the very worst, it'd be a good gauntlet of sorts for the Hornets to go through.
But my point was really that they've been doubted all season (and playoffs) long, so being underdogs against SA wouldn't be anything new.

Well one thing is for sure that the Mavs are not losing because of Dirk. Dirk is averaging 28 ppg and 12 rpg on 50% shooting.
The reason the Mavs are losing is because of Josh Howard and the rest of the cast.
Josh Howard is getting 13 ppg and 6.5 rpg but on 26% fg
Jason Kidd is getting 7 ppg and 7 rpg and 6.3 apg on 37% fg
Stackhouse is getting 5 ppg and 3 rpg on 27% fg
Devean George is shooting 30% fg
Eddie Jones is shooting 33% fg
The supporting cast for Dallas is absolutely terrible this series.

I wouldn't count NO out against the Spurs. They have homecourt, CP3, and a Spurs matchup nightmare in Bonzi Wells.
