Who wins this second round series?

I think the Jazz will ultimately beat the Rockets, so yeah...

I think it'll be the Jazz in 7 games - wouldn't rule 6 out

Of course the series can go either way. Should be anyway, I and others thought the same thing about Spurs/Suns.

Isn't this more than a little premature? Do we really need another stickied thread cluttering up things for a series we don't even know who is playing in?

by Texas Longhorns
No, because they are going to lock the first round thread of LAL tomorrow and sticky this. For now, it won't be stickied.

What's the point of having this right now?

by Texas Longhorns
Cause, they are going to lock the Nuggets-LAL thread. LAL fans have somewhere to talk, either about the previous series win, or whatever about the next series. If they talk about the stuff in the other thread, it will probably reach 100 pages anyway and will have to make a thread anyways..

If this series was to occur Utah has no experience with Gasol. Which could benefit the lakers.

Let someone else make a game thread texas longhorns.

I can't see the Lakers NOT winning this series to be honest.

Lakers in 6... maybe 5

Lakers in 5 if it's against the Jazz or Rockets. My predicted order would be win, win, loss, win, win.

I would like to see this series go at least 6 games, I think that way the Jazz could get some good experience out of it. Less then that would be a disappointing end to a good season.

Overall I think the Lakers are the better team right now, and obviously Kobe is playing the best basketball of his career. I think this will be a very tough series for the Jazz unless someone like Mehmet Okur steps up and has huge game after huge game for the Jazz.

lolmao. The Jazz play the defense they are playing right now (Boozer and Okur are playing actually great D) and knowing that the Jazz offense is much more efficient and higher octanage than the Lakers, and I can honestly see the Jazz getting over the Lakers. Gasol doesn't worry me, and I think that Bryant can have an average performance. But Odom is the only that is able to give big time matchup problems.

Should be a good series depending on how much Okur steps up and how well AK defends kobe unless Brewer defends him.

AK definitely is one of the best defenders vs Kobe in this league. Last game Kobe beat us, in large part to putting Brewer on him. It'll be tough to get minutes for Brewer, cause honestly these guys overpower him. Probably more minutes for Korver who's been good for Utah defensively.

Yeah, but knowing your homerism, that's like saying the sun shines.

And JordansBulls...any more bold predictions this time?

LOL, well I think people are underestimating the Jazz as always, we are indeed the hotest team aside of Houston in the calender year. 38-12 in the last 50 regular season games. I think the series will go 7 for the Lakers or 6 for Utah. Game 1 and 2 are critical for the Jazz. I honestly can't see them winning 4 out of 5 games vs the Lakers, so they need to take game 1 or 2.

I hope the Jazz sweep the Lakers to shut up their homeristic/trolling fans

****CAVEAT***** I don't actually think they WILL sweep the Lakers, I just hope they do. Jazz in 6. Book it.
