He could've been something great, what went wrong? (Besides Mobley being traded from Orlando)

He was never an efficient scorer, effective playmaker, or a good defender. When he lost his athleticism and boyfriend Mobley it was the end of the road for him...

Just another street ball reject that was more worried about crossing people over and dunking and didn't know how to lead a team or play a winning style of ball...

He's Marbury-light, but I still believe Marbury's career is more of a tragedy because he's 100X more talented than Steve ever was and could have been so much more than what he turned out to be...Marbury actually had the talent and skill-set to be one of the greats of all time, Steve never could have reached those levels..

He's lost a great deal of lateral quickness and speed though. He also can't throw down like that consistently.
