I never understood it. I mean I can see how people get annoyed with them at times, but their lack of respect after dismantling the Suns for the umpteenth time in a row is kinda sad.

Basically for what happened last year with the Horry-Nash incident..

it's funny..

first of all..I can't gloat about the Spurs winning without a few posters telling me to show some class and whatever..**** them..I've been involved in talks with a few Suns fans for the last couple of months, where the Spurs were being insulted all the time, and many fans were claiming my team was done..Suns fans have been talking since last year..I'll say whatever I want..

it's just a matter of winning..there isn't a reason for the casual fan and the fan of loser franchises to like the Spurs..small market team.."boring" superstar..a fundamentally sound team that plays great defense..

the flopping is ALWAYS exaggerated..we are the only team that is mentioned when it comes to flopping, despite EVERY team in the NBA doing it, and a number of teams do it more..

the "dirty plays" are always magnified for the Spurs..nobody ever talks about other team's dirty plays..Raja Bell's elbow on Parker tonight for example..

the Suns broke a rule last year, but it somehow turns all these idiot fans against the Spurs..blame the rule, don't blame the Spurs..it isn't Horry's fault that the NBA made the rule and that Stoudewhiner broke it..

it's all about the winning..THEY'LL DEFINITELY DENY IT, but in reality, it's all about the winning..

ignore what the "real reasons" are, it's all about the winning..

If the Spurs would of did what they were supposed to and keep that 16-18 pt lead in G4 ... hehe

But seriously, Horry shouldn't of hip-checked Nash, Diaw and Amare shouldn't of left the bench area with intent to go over to the situation, and immediately put the NBA office into the picture. And after the hip check by Horry, Bell should of not got up into Horry and escalated the situation.

Both sides are at fault

Suns still had a great chance in G5 to win, but blew it and never put the Spurs away, letting them hang around... who knows how things would of went with Amare and Diaw there. Would the defense on Duncan as been as good, and would Marion of had as big of a game as he did (being key to the significant control of the game till mid-4th)? I don't know.

It's a variable situation.

In the words of the great Eazy-E: "We make hardcore jams, so f*^k respect".

I don't care who likes/hates/is indifferent towards us.

I just care about watching my team win.

As a Pistons fan I have nothing but respect for the Spurs.

A million times more respect for Duncan than KG.

Only player on the Spurs I dislike is Manu for his flopage.

I have a feeling we're going to have a rematch of the 05 finals...

Tony Parker with his flopping and ultra fluke shots
And also everytime he gets scored on, the next Spurs possesion he MUST i repeat MUST score the basket unless he gets shut down tight.

Who cares? Leave the whining to the haters and enjoy the ride.

Yeah, it's definitely just about the winning.

People will always say "they're dirty, they get all the calls, etc, etc" but in reality it's just because the Spurs win.

I'm not a Spurs fan nor do I hate them, but I'll definitely say I'd like to see another team win for once. See? It's all about the winning.

Spurs are great at picking up flop fouls. I think Tony's wife agrees with this assessment.

They are incredibly boring but I respect them.

I'd like to know why it is that people find them boring... is it because they win a lot, or is it because of the way they play the game?

If it's the latter at all, that's really a lack of appreciation and understanding of what basketball is all about. Enjoyment preference? Well, still, basketball isn't all about high-scoring games, dunks, athleticism, and threes. I think anybody who knows the game significantly would enjoy how they play.

I respect them. I don't hate them, but ofcourse I don't want to see them suceed, because they present more matchup problems to the Jazz than any other team, maybe even including the Lakers.

People hate the Spurs cause they are one of the greatest teams in any sport of our era. They have the highest winning % in any league since Duncan came into the game, so that means they beat down every other team in the NBA over and over again which breeds jealousy and hate. To be honest if i liked any other team and one single team kept pummeling my team year in and out i'd get mighty annoyed as well. However you gotta respect that. It's kinda like Manchester utd, i hate that team with everything in me being a liverpool fan, but i gotta respect what they've done.

Because every play down the court, someone (mainly Duncan) whines to the refs.
You get ALL of the calls- see Duncan tripping over his foot and Parker doing the same and getting the calls last night.
Parker torpedoing down the lane head first into defenders and getting the calls every time.
Flopping by everyone.
Hack a Shaq. I respected Pops until he started that crap.
Bowen trying to hurt players constantly and the league conveniently failing to see it at all.

Basically, if you give any other team in the league the same leniency that the Spurs get, they would have 4 rings as well.

Ladies and gentlemen, your San Antonio Sterns!!!
