Greg Oden Will be Best Center in the League in 2 Years.

He will be a better defender than anyone in the league by year two, presumming he figures out what is a foul and what isnt in the league.. He will dominate the game so much defensively like few before him..

But I Think he will be better than Shaq because this year will allow him to work strictly on free throw shooting.. He was able to hit a good percentage with his off hand last year, so i think that 78-80% is not out of the realms of possibility.. If so, with his ability to get to the free throw line 7-10 times a game in his prime, he will be scoring at least 25 a game in his prime if not more.

He will Rebound similar to Howard, specifically because Portland's main need this year was rebounding.. He will be a consistent 14 rebound a game guy..

So i expect in his prime for him to be 25,14, 4.5 blocks, 1.8 steals 57% shooting, 79% ft.

With multiple MVP's, DPOY's..

This is contingent on an effective Rehab which is ahead of schedule..

The blazers in two years will be ready for a championship run, with 55-60+ wins and Oden will be in the running for an MVP similar to how LeBron and Paul are..

I expect him to play similar to Hakeem did in his prime with better free throw shooting, worse footwork, and similar rebounding.

Dwight will dominate him like the rest.

I could easily see Oden being an MVP candidate in 2 years given how nicely I think he'll fit in Portland. I don't ever see him being a better rebounder than Howard however.

Gearing up for a full offseason of overhyping him I see?

Don't forget what karma taught everyone last year...

He will be dunked on by Howard in their first game against each other.

It's not out of the realm of possibility, but I question whether he'll have the post moves and footwork to average 25 a game two years from now. I agree he will be a defensive monster. Maybe its the 3 surgeries he's already had combined with his astonishingly developed body at such a young age, but something tells me Oden will have an injury plagued career. I prey he doesn't, because his flexibility, coordination and mobility is unmatched by anyone his size and he could truly become one of the great big men of his generation.

Or we could just assume Portland rushes his knee injury. He has problems adjusting to the ballooned weight. Which contributes more to the foul problems he was having. LMA does not want to share the ball and Oden simply becomes Diop with a sparkling personality.

^^^Yea because if there's one thing we know Portland is gonna do, its take a chance with possibly the best big of this generation and have him back on the court before he is fully recovered.

Can he play one NBA game before we proclaim him the best center of all time?

Oden doesn't strike me as the crazy-athletic rebounder Dwight is.

did you not see his summer league games? he was at worst howards athletic equal at the same age. its just a matter of what the surgery does to his knees. if he recovers as nicely as amare, oden probably will be the best big. pretty big if though

Are all Portland fans this delusional?

^^Pathetic that people use this as a chance to bash Portland fans when they dont even know if the OP is a Blazer fan or not. Judging by his posting history he appears to be a fan of players in the league, not teams.

But dont let that stop ya from lumping Portland fans together and bashing us.

He didn't even average a double double in college.

I doubt he'll come out rebounding like Dwight.

No he wont...Dwight Howard is going to be better than him.

Howard will be the much better rebounder and scorer.

Oden will be a much better defender though. I really believe Oden will end his career as the all time leader in blocked shots. He has the best timing I've ever seen for a shot blocker. I watched him play basically every game last year, and you can count the number of times he left his feet early for a shot block on one hand.

I'm not completely sold on his offensive game yet. I'm not sure he will be an elite scorer in the NBA.
