He's obviously not in his prime anymore, that was during his MVP season. But I wouldn't say he's declined that much. Its all mental with KG, he just doesn't have the desire to take over games.

Yes, he is past his prime but he is still a very good, effective player.

All it matters is intensity.

I think it's wrong to think that this series is tarnishing his legacy.

Is Dirk past his prime for getting upset by the Warriors?

KG is DPOTY and legit MVP candidate this year. He is the main reason for biggest turnaround in NBA history.

he's just not shooting as much as he used to in Minny, he tries and get his teammates involved more cause he knows they're better this year. So now he looks like a good player on a team. But if he wants to, he could be the same Kg

I never bought that argument because Last years injuries had more to do with why the turn around was so huge.

On that note what is Garnett's legacy?

Is it that he's SO FLIPPING INTENSE?

Its not an insult to say he's past his prime. How many players are in their prime at 31 years old? He's still a very good player, he just isn't as good as he was 4 or 5 years ago.

eh, i think it had more to do with al jefferson being an awful defender. if he gets big minutes, your team sucks 100% of the time.

And you can't deny the impact this years playoff has on KG's legacy. KG was always known as the great player who never won because he had a poor supporting cast. If the Celtics lose to the Hawks it proves that wrong. Dirk will never live down the lose to the Warriors, and KG's career would also always be tied to this series.

I think KG career would be scarred indefinitely, and a loss to the Hawks would be exponentially worse than Dirk's choke job vs the Warriors.

Anyways is he past his prime? I didn't think so before the series and I am not going to say so after the series.

What exactly is his "prime?" ... He's always been disappearing when the games matter and he did that this year. I'm sure he can do the same next year, so he's not past that.
