The Man is Synonymous With NBA PLAYOFFS

Every year hes been in the league, hes made it to the conference finals. He had his coming out party in the playoffs, AS A ROOKIE, in the most pressure packed moments of a 4th quarter playoff game against the phillly sixers he produced and hit the game winner. This was before the big shot, the richard ripping the nets, before all the sheeds 4 3s, it was before all that.
That team started atkins, stackhouse, curry, cliff robinson, and big bad ben wallace, with prince playing next to nothing in the regular season, but came through in the biggest moments as a rook in the post season. It was then hie had a left hander that did in the sixers (on an iso play FOR A ROOKIE OMG), and 6 years later, he he sank another left hook dagger this time over Dwight Howard and the magic which sent the pistons home with a 3-1 lead in this best of 7 series.
Larry Brown said he would be a superstar after that series, well he never become one per say, but he plays the best when it matters most, and he plays the way thats best for the pistons to be successful. Scottie Pippen said his game reminded him the most of himself. Oh and how can we forget the block on our man reggie miller, the impact, the desire, and the effort...he's simply amazing...some say he's an escaped cancer patient, i just say hes a baller who performs at the highest level when it matters most.
To you prince of the palace, i salute you and your playoff play over the years
much props
most underrated and under-appreciated player in the league, do you dare to disagree?

I would assume with one more win over Orlando, Prince will be the only player in NBA history to make it to the conference finals each of his first 6 seasons in the NBA?
He's played in 107 playoff games and counting.

He's still a very skinny little monkey man, but nonetheless a true pro and very effective. EVERY team can use a Tayshaun Prince.

meh you could use any pistons player there for the same duration and say the same thing. Prince isn't anything special. Hes a good player on a great team

Not really, the whole basis for this topic is that Prince is the youngest of the Piston starters and has been an impact playoff performer since he was inserted as a desperation move back in 03 against the Magic.
Also out of the core 4 he gets the least amount of publicity.

He's good, but his defense has suffered greatly since 2004.
I also think this has been one of his more inconsistent seasons.
Ginobili, on the other hand, is arguably the most underrated player in the league (With Al Jefferson garnering some serious consideration)

Manu got all-nba honors and everyone says he was a big all-star snub, and he won the 6th man of the year award.
Seems like he gets quit a bit of attention to me.

That block on Evans today brought back memories of the blocks on Miller, Iverson & LBJ.

Tayshun is one of my favorite players in the league. He would be the perfect Pippen to Kobe's Jordan. I would definitely swap Lamar Odom for him.

Prince is the prototypical small forward. He does everything for you. He scores, rebounds, is a solid play maker and is one of the smartest guys in the league. According to everyone who's coached him, his basketball iq is as good as anyones. He's the one Piston who I feel is absolutly un-tradable.

You're confusing teams I think, the team you mentioned was the year before. Prince's rookie season was also Billups and Rip's first seasons as Pistons.
also, he really came on strong defending T-Mac in that (in)famous down 3-1 series with Orlando, that was pretty amazing too, as a rookie coming in and shutting down T-mac, afte being shown NO confidence by his coach all season (there's rumors that Dumars had to basically order Carlisle to play Prince at that point).
On a side note, that summer of 02-03 had to be one of the more underrated GM periods, even with the acclaim Dumars gets. In one summer, Dumars signed Billups, traded Stack for Rip, and drafted Tay Prince... that's 3 starters that lasted half a decade SO FAR and will probably notch at least 3 years more.

Prince of the Palace. He is without a doubt one of the most under rated players in the league. I hate him.

Its funny cause all the Sixers fans had them winning that matchup with AI.
And all the Magic fans had them winning that matchup with Hedo.
I mean Hedo has been solid, but he's turned it over so much he's really cost him team.
Prince has stepped up when needed.
