Isn't his daughter getting treatment in NY? Why did he go to LA?

His daughter has eye cancer and they might have to take out her eye.

yeah, seriously.
i think the fact that jazz fans booed him in his first game back as a laker was far worse.

Lol, I don't know why fans try to get under guys like LeBron and Kobe's skin -- it just makes them play harder. You're screwing your own team over.

Initial treatment was performed in NY, but as I'm sure you all know, treating a malignancy requires vigilant long term follow up to monitor for local recurrence. I'm assuming that the Fishers wanted the best long care in terms of long term follow-up. Los Angeles provides close access to Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA (LEGENDARY in the world of opthalmology) as well as Children's LA. This is not to say that Salt Lake City has poor medical care, but the facilities in Los Angeles are simply of another pedigree.

LMAO. The only funny part is that the dude doesn't know how to spell (and the fact his 7 wives were cut out of the picture).

nope, the primary doctor for the disease is the lynn murphry (no clue how to spell his name) at CHLA. i read itin LAtimes as well as just know that he is one of the leading experts in the field.

For one, who knows what this guy is doing, he could have easily been rubbing his face, adjusting his hat, moving his hair... Who knows.
And two, is this really thread worthy? Even if the guy is doing it, he's a dumbass, we all see that, whats the big deal?
You honestly don't think anyone at a Laker game has ever done anything that crosses the line? Hell, I bet someone in LA has said something terrible about Lamar Odom's kid. There are crappy people out there, live with it.

Wow, your proof is a still shot.
This is about as sad as it gets for "proof."

If the guy rubbing his eye is referencing to Fish's doughter, then I'm speechless. What a despicable human being.
As for booing Fisher, how (Please Use More Appropriate Word) it is to say that he is booed because his daughter had a cancer.
He was booed because his departure was not very clean.
When he asked L. Miller, he was released from his contract, and the next day he signed with the LA.
Now the problem was that he didn't say anything to Jazz's owner about LA.
L. Miller even commented in the news paper that he will give him a benefit of the doubt. (that was classy)
I personally wouldn't boo him, but he is a Laker now and people boo him for that. NOT BECAUSE OF HIS DAUGHTER.
To me people are exaggerating this booing thing.

Yes, but having multiple tertiary care centers within a 15-20 mile radius of each other provides immense benefits. Tatum's primary may be at Children's LA (CHLA, which I already mentioned), but if further intervention were ever needed, it helps to have many options are your doorstep, including referral to JSEI if necessary. The point is that LA simply provides more options than he would have had available in Utah.
