The Lakers have taken a 3-2 lead going into SLC for game 6. Kobe Bryant had been bothered by his back in game 4 with back spasms. Now, the Jazz need to win this game to stay alive in the series and push the series to 7 games. Game 6 is on ESPN on Fri (10:30 PM EST). The Lakers haven't bee n to the WCF since 2004 and the Jazz reached the WCF last season.

why was the thread locked at 74 pages?..

BigAkers wrote:So how about that tech the refs called on Sasha in the 4th quarter? KG taunts and calls people **** **** all the time and they just keep playing. Obvious conspiracy. The league is out to protect Korver.

I agree..he's pretty, so he attracts a demographic of pre-teen women and gay boys..

Vujacic is such a ho though..I would love to have him on my team because he's a talented instigator..but if this guy played against me, I'd probably get arrested a few minutes later for getting mad and pushing his **** back..he's annoying as **** and he looks like a girl..

after seeing the replay 10 times, i'd say 80% flop, 20% push off. as soon as the ball bounced off the rim higher than anticipated, he began the classic push in the back flop.

yup..I just saw it as well, and that was definitely a flop by Okur..I think the refs were in the Lakers favor for most of the 4th, especially a couple of easy calls in the first 5 minutes..but Okur flopped on the last one..which means I have to change my stance, and criticize Okur..why not man the **** up instead of flopping? Gasol is one of the softest pussies in the NBA, and this guy is afraid to attempt to get a CRITICAL rebound, instead settling for flopping right after the ball hits the rim..box out..grow some balls..

1) Good game Jazz fans. Lakers did indeed get more benefit of the calls in this game, just as Utah did in Utah.

What it shows me is simple.

a- The lakers are NOT a dominant team
b- The jazz are NOT a dominant team

The lakers SUCK my nuts defensively. The Jazz are actually a better defensive team than the Lakers what with all the layups given up, etc.

When a team is dominant, they can handle the bad calls and still win in the other teams' home floor. The lakers came closest, but they didnt get it done.

2) Kobe was slowed by the back somewhat in teh fourth, but not nearly what he was in the last game.

By next game, he'll be even better than he was in this one and he'll recover by the WCF IF The lakers make it there. I dont see this as a big issue going forward.

In some ways it might be better that Kobe looks to drive and create, ala a PG and look for Fish and Sasha and a cutting LO because it will limit the number of tough jumpers Kobe takes.

3) Unless something unexpected happens, i.e., a new Lakers DEFENSE, I expect this series BACK in LA for game 7.

The lakers SUCK at D and any team that SUCKS at D and rebounding cannot overcome the inevitable calls that will go Utah's way in the next game.

LOL and I had posted and the thread was locked. Now I can't even make my post b/c I need another dude's quote. It wasn't even a 100 pages and probably wouldn't have gotten there tonight. Only the devil is up this late.

it was a nudge, not a push. a nudge like that is acceptable to call in the regular season, not the playoffs. and even in the regular season, it'd be a bad call.

It does look like Memo is flopping, but I'd like to see the whole replay.
Too hard to judge when you can't see if there was contact before Gasol grabbed the rebound. And whoever is saying the Vujacic technical was bull, gimme a break. It was just an extremely poor decision to run his mouth when walking right by the ref.

Actually, Sasha deserved that for being an idiot. He was jawing at the Jazz player with the Ref between them.

LA fanboys don't need to worry though, seems like Boozer has money on LA winner the series or something.
