does this guy annoy anybody else as much as he annoys me? I didn't mind him before, but he seems to have started expressing his homeristic opinions during his broadcasts..all involving the NBA marketing machine, so usually the Lakers and Lebron..

He's pretty annoying, but he has nothing on Mark Jackson.

A post from the LAL/UTA thread....

miller31time wrote:Now, I can understand an announcer hyping the big-time players and talking them up more than everyone else. They should. Those players are better than everyone else. But to spend so much of your telecast pointing out some of the most unimportant things is absurd and reflects very poorly on Tirico's broadcasting ability. Rule #1 is to show little to no bias.

exactly..

a guy that is announcing on national TV should never show bias..everyone understands when a local guy does it, but it's annoying when the national guy does it..

he's also a pedophile..did anybody see his crush on those "High School Musical" kids?..

Wow, that deadspin piece is killer. What's with these announcers? Reynolds, Marv Albert, and now Tirico? Is sports broadcasting somehow correlated with guys getting hit with sexual assault cases?

hmm...

dont forget the two douches woody paige and jay crawford, they both did something to an espn girl or "allegedly"

That's one of the reasons i think paige left espn first take or w/e but he's still on around the horn

crawford is a douche though

all in all, espn knows how to pick them

btw saulsbury was the funniest if anyone gets a chance to read what he did, he took a pic of a body part and sent it to an espn intern..wth?

I swear sometimes I think he's being paid off by LeBron to kiss his LeAss everytime Tirico covers the Cavs. He makes it sound like LeBron is the most amazing human being on the face of the earth.

Thank God they pair him with Hubie or else I'm turning the volume down to zero.

LOL tirico called out jazz fans

I'm fine with him calling out certain Jazz fans (throwing stuff at the Laker bench patheticly), was like 11 of them

But, his liking, enthusiasm, and at times bias with the Cavs/Lakers/LeBron/Kobe is just too much for a national play-by-play announcer.

And specifically tonight, he didn't react at the level he should of on 3 or 4 really nice plays by the Jazz, and was talking about the Lakers or something else. Either ignoring it, or just had a poor reaction to it.

He just has to tone it down some

I think part of it with Tirico, is he gets too caught up in the fans booing Fisher, Kobe (and Kobe saying it's personal to the Jazz fans), and fans going against LeBron and various Wizards being antagonistic to LeBron, harsh, and making bold comments. Too caught up in it, combined with awareness of popularity and love for LeBron and Kobe/Lakers, makes him call things like he has and probably will continue to at times.

I agree w/ studcrackers. Hubie is just awful. "Okay, if i'm Kobe Bryant, I'm upset right now. Because I feel bla bla bla". That and when the ref blows a call and they show a replay of the call that was blatantly wrong, Hubie still agrees with the ref's call. He never will admit that the ref blew a call. Also when his voice cracks like a 90 year old going through puberty.

Before Hubie went to Memphis he was awsome. Since his return he just seems tired and run down. "We know that." Is getting so old. JT the Brick was talking the other night about how old the broadcasters are and how little passion they have the other night. It seems nobody can get into the booth and there isnt any young talent when in reality these old gys are just hanging on. Listening to Hubie now is pretty sad. Tommy Hienshon 25 yrs ago was the best in the business with Mussberger and yet those 2 are still around and both are terrible now. Why Walt Frazier doesnt have a national gig is beyond me.

Uh, Mark Jackson is a very good commentator bud..He's very high in the knowledge department and shows no bias whatsoever.

Mark Jackson is quite possibly the most bland color commentator of all time.
