Set up by a shared Nike agent, the two became fast friends.

In the years since, they've shared meals, vacations and memories. Paul was invited to the wedding event of last summer

Its cool, real cool.
sure, they get paid the big bucks and take it seriously, but really, its just a game. cant expect them to take the 'loyalties' off the court and into thier personal lives.

I think thats badass, its not like they're gonna be sharing each others' team strategies over dinner or something. Very cool.

I think it's cool they value their friendship so much.

Honsetly during the season friends on opposing squads probably get close to no time to chill with each other. I'd probably do the same thing if I was gonna be in the same place as one of my friends for a week or more who I hadn't seen in a minute.

I say it's cool as long as you play hard on the court. Sheed and Jermaine O'Neal had dinner during the 2004 Eastern Conference Finals, but Sheed went out and played with fire like normal. Fine by me.

 Damn right. This is gonna be the big storyline for next season whenever San Antonio plays New Orleans on ABC.

Not cool. Would Magic and Bird have dined together during the Finals?

Weak. Put it on hold for two weeks.

definitely cool in my books. the war is on the basketball court not off the court. esp if they are best friends. i know jordan did this with barkley, and magic and bird definitely did dine together during the finals. it should also be mentioned that they usually dont discuss basketball, they just relax and enjoy each others company.

who cares as long as they bring it on the court? Sheed had dinner with JO, made a Guaransheed and opened a cap of whoop ass the next game.

I believe I read somewhere the Barkley and Jordan played golf together every day off during the 93 finals.

It's cool. When I was playing high school basketball I had a friend from church who played for another town. The 2 games we played against each other a season didn't prevent us from being friends even at the game, and our friendship didn't prevent us from wanting to win.

It's a job to these guys, and you can't expect them to shut their social lives down just because it's the playoffs. Besides, I think Eva wants one of those oreo double stuffs.

Wilt-Russell used to hang out. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me
