Interesting thought. Considering Oden will technically be a rookie player this year and (possibly) Rudy Fernandez coming over and making an impact, will this finally be the year the rookies beat up on the sophomores?
Projected Rookie Roster:
G Derrick Rose
G O.J. Mayo
G Jerryd Bayless
G Rudy Fernandez
F Michael Beasley
F Kevin Love
F Danilo Galinari
C Greg Oden
C Brook Lopez
Projected Sophomore Roster:
G Mike Conley Jr.
G Juan Carlos Navarro
F Kevin Durant
F Jeff Green
F Sean Williams
F Luis Scola
F Al Thornton
C Al Horford
C Joakim Noah

Nope, not even close.
Horfored and Thorton will rip them a new one... And then you have Kevin Durant, who's gonna be unstoppable this coming year.

I doubt it. They have a lot of big names, but those rookies are simply going to be too raw.

Sean Williams would have a block party.

Nick Young will make the sophomore team over Navarro and probably rip everyone on the rookie team a new one.

I'd like to see that happen, won't though.

Too early to tell.
Who knows how soon Rose/Oden/Beasley get to NBA playing level or high level.
If they do that in first 2 months, then I don't think there is anyone in the soph that can stop them.

I think the rookies as a group are slightly better prospects, but it's hard to pick against a year of experience.
(Indications from Portland are that Fernandez will definitely be in the NBA next year. It's hard to predict how good he'll be though.)

This will be he best shot they'll have for a while most likely. Still doubt it.

Even LeBron, Melo, Bosh and Wade wouldn't take out the sophs. Amare killed them, but '03 is definitely the better class.

I think, with Greg Oden, they have a legit shot. Oden may be better than any big man on the sophmore team. Horford's a beast & all, but he doesn't have Oden's size, strength or skill.

I do think the rooks have a good chance this year, but like others have said, it's just really hard to bet against that 1 year of NBA experience.

Sean Williams will alley-yoop of the backboard and scare the crap out of the rookies.....

Obviously you do or you would not have replied, yeah?
Anyway, the rooks have a good shot, but I still think the sophmores will take the game (1 year of experience makes a difference).

Remember last year when everyone thought the 07 class (with Oden) would beat the 06 class? Look how that turned out...

Luis Scola would manhandle Beasley.

You forgot Rodney Stuckey on the sophomore team.

Imo they need to extend the length of the rosters.
As for the question I dont think the rooks will win against the sophs.
Scola will dominate.
