Best Player Since Jordan's retirement...

It's been a decade since Jordan's 2nd retirement. It's a decent time to poll this up. Was thinking about having Nash, Nowitzki, Iverson, McGrady in this poll. But let's not front like we'd give a vote to any of them over the big 3(Maybe Garnett but nix'd him). Decided against Lebron and Wade because they've only been in the nba for 5 years. I wanted someone that spanned the decade so far.

Kobe Bryant

Yea what these guys said. Shaq for 3 or 4 years. But Duncan overall.

I will say one thing about Kobe though. All his life I think he has strove to be like Mike. I think if he isn't there right now he is extremely close. I mean its right there.

I agree with most of the posters in the thread, that Shaq had the best prime. Duncan is the best overall, but Kobe is probably first if he wins 2 titles as a #1 option and maybe another MVP award.

As for the best player in the NBA rankings, I don't see how Shaq was better than Duncan in 2003. Kobe was starting to take away some of Shaq's role in 2002-2003 and probably took it completely in 2003-2004.

1999: Tim Duncan
2000: Shaquille O'Neal
2001: Shaquille O'Neal
2002: Shaquille O'Neal
2003: Tim Duncan
2004: Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett
2005: Tim Duncan
2006: Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant
2007: Kobe Bryant
2008: Kobe Bryant

That's how I see the list of the top NBA players since Michael Jordan retired.
