In my opinion this is the most improved commentating team in the nba...I used to hate their coverage but they have improved this year.

Its awful. Breen and Jackson are garbage. JVG is the only thing keeping it from being a national disaster,

respectfully disagree, compared to tnt, these guys sound like complete amateurs

van gundy and breen run the show while jackson does some boring commentating just saying basketball cliches and repeating what has just happened the prvious play. "Rajon Rondo dribbled down the lane through traffic and LAID-IT-UP for two."

yea, but from what it was before, I think its a substantial improvement. The abc commentary before used to suck beyond belief....and see i find tnt as being overated.

Mark Albert is good but used to be way better, and reggie miller just sucks

Kevin Harlen and Doug Collings is a good, solid pair.

But what else is there to offer?

Bob Costas needs to come back to commentating. The collins/ costas team in the late nineties was golden

nothing beats Hubie Brown....they just need to give him a magic pen so he can draw diagrams on replays

JVG is solid,Mark Jackson is ok at best and Breen is terrible as always.

As a team they are not very good.


The worst ever though was Al Michaels & Doc Rivers in 2004 & 2005.Doc wasnt that bad but Al Michaels while a great Football announcer was painful to listen to as a basketball guy.

I was about to say....ESPN commentating is horrible besides van gundy, breen, legler and greg anthony.

The halftime show is horrible tih Jon Barry...he never seems to analyze the game deeper or have anything meaningful to say. Scott Stewart is just plain annoying with his voice shouting and trying to make the show interesting. He just tries to come with smart saying now and then that is bad.

well im in the minority i think breen is solid however im confident that if someone ask Mark Jackson to be Kobe's drawers for one day he would oblige. JVG is meh hes ok but most of his stuff is just funny as opposed to informative.

Mark Jackson is popular around here lately.

Yea overall ESPN/ABC is terrible with their basketball coverage.

Stewart Scott reminds me of a geek who trys waaaay to hard to be cool and in the end only makes himself out to be a bigger geek than he already is.

I just can't stand how Breen orgasms every time someone scores.

Breen is awful. Mark Jackson is pretty bad but sometimes says good stuff. Jeff Van Gundy is good though.

Harlan/Collins + Craig Sager are the best commentating team right now.

Followed by Fratello/Stockton (but I really think they should reunite Fratello and Marv)

Hubie Brown is the only guy I think deserves his job on the ESPN/ABC side of things.

i cant stand mike breen's "oh what a pretty play by _______". he suks up too much to the players imo. he always says the same things... (insert name) is shaken up, etc etc.

kevin harlan and doug collins are the best duo i think. esp doug collins, whos easily the best colour commentator out of any crew.

Breen busts a nut when someone scores and he always sides with the refs. You can tell Van Gundy and Jackson want to punch him in the face sometimes. I also hate how he says "puts it in" all the time. Annoying doucebag.

what about Harlans "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD" or "KOBE BRYANT WITH THE DAZZLING PLAY!" every five minutes. itll be a basic layup by kobe and hell turn into the verbal ronnie turiaf.

I'm not a big fan of Doug Collins. Shouldn't you have kind of a strong voice to be an analyst? He sounds like he has one testicle with that annoying high voice. And yes, I think reggie miller is the worst.
