ESPN/ABC should have used Hubie Brown during the ECF

During the regular season when there's usually double headers, I can understand why Van Gundy leads one team and Hubie leads the other. But what I can't stand is having Mark Jackson as the other analyst to Van Gundy during the ECF. I don't know what others think, but I think Jackson is one of the worst national NBA analysts out there. He just says some really breathtakingly stupid things and is annoying (doesn't add much at all).

Hubie Brown's a real smart guy and explains things well. Why is a Hall of Famer who has called multiple NBA Finals not on? I'm sure he and Jeff Van Gundy would get along just fine.

Basically, its to get a players perspective and a coach's perspective on things during a game. Plus, that group has chemistry.

I love Hubie Brown but I hate the fact that he never ever disagrees with any calls the refs make.. even if its an obvious bad call.. thats the only thing bad about him. But yeah the JVG/Marc Jackson group has some really good chemistry.. cant break that up.

Most coaches were players first (I know Hubie Brown played college ball). Coaches just make far better analysts because they've spent time teaching the game to players (and Mark Jackson rarely offers much more than cliches). Chemistry is OK, but I think it's overrated (TNT switches up teams a lot and they seem to work out). I can't imagine a Jeff Van Gundy + Hubie Brown team not working well.

I think the Jackson/Van Gundy/Breen team is pathetic.

Hubie and Tirico have been calling the Eastern Conference Finals games on ESPN Radio

I did not know that since I barely listen to radio when I can watch a game on TV. I might have to turn the radio on and mute the tube like I do during most Bears games.

ESPN is a bunch of stiffs. They don't really relate at all to their viewerbase. I could see hanging out with Ernie & Charles(maybe even Kenny) as being fun and enjoyable.

I think I'd fall asleep if I had to spend time with the ESPN crew...

The Breen/JVG/Jackson team is great. It's the only good thing about ESPN/ABC's NBA coverage. I like Hubie aa lot but there's no real chemistry and he's just not as entertaining.
