superstitious..

Post#1 » by HarlemHeat37 » Wed May 28, 2008 5:47 pm

hypothetic situation..

your team is in a best of 7 series in the NBA finals..

you watch games 1, 3 and 4 of the series, all resulting in blowout losses for your team..your team wins game 2, 5 and 6 in blowout victories, but they were all games you were unable to watch..you notice the trend..

game 7, you are able to watch..do you watch?..

this one goes out to the many people that believe in this kind of ****, like me..

If you invested the time to watch the first 6 games, you need to watch game 7.

No, I wouldn't watch. I would miss even a 4OT if we win and watch it later.

I would watch till half time, and if we were losing I would turn it off.

...This is actually a tough question.

You misread.

You have watched the 3 losses but did NOT watch the 3 victories. Do you watch game 7?

I don't.

I wouldn't watch a single second of the game. I wouldn't want to be responsible for dragging my team down with my bad luck.

Yeah, you have to watch if you're a fan. You never know if your team will feature a memorable moment or performance that will become part of the its history and lore. Just think about how many unlucky people will be watching the other team.

well, idk, usually i don't believe in things like that...
yet when the mavs were in the finals in 06, i was unable to watch games 1 and 2 cause i was on vacation in spain. as i came back and started watching the finals, the mavs went on to lose the four games i watched... maybe i shouldn't have watched after game 4...

There is no such things as superstitions. The people who are the worst are baseball fans with the no hitter...

This thread and the concept behind it absolutely baffles me.

I'll leave it at that.

This is ridiculous. If you are IN the best of 7 series than you won't be able to watch until the game is long over. In other words your question makes no sense.

I would watch even if I felt like that. I would never miss my team playing a game 7.
