I also heard something about the Rockets getting Jordan, Drexler, and Hakeem all at the same time, but someone did not want to trade their 3rd pick or something. It was really interesting, I'll try to find where I found it from, but the writer said it wouldve been a "dynasty of epic proportions"
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

It was Ralph Sampson for Drexler and the #2 pick. Could you imagine Drexler + Hakeem + Sam Bowie?

Two superstars, two above average starters (but certainly not all-stars at that point in time), and Fisher, with no bench and Stanislav Medvedenko or Devean George starting.
And they finished #2 in the league, with Malone injured.
Sounds about right.
The names don't mean anything. Payton wasn't even as good as Sam Cassell at that time, and Malone wasn't much more than what Udonis Haslem is now.
Hakeem, Drexler and Jordan would've all been in their prime in the late 80s early to mid 90s.

Hakeem and Barkley would have probably added 5-7 wins to that first year MJ/Wizards squad. That would have got them in one of the final couple spots of the playoffs. They would have been a dangerous playoff team because of their experience, but there's no way that they would have been good enough in the regular season to get a high enough spot to advance very far. The Jordan Wizards expirament is very unfortunate. Charlotte and Milwaukee were talked about as comeback possibilities as well and both would have been better fits. I still wish he'd sign a 1 game contract and retire a Bull.

they almosted traded ralph sampson to the blazers for the second pick.
now tell that team of MJ and Hakeem in their prime wouldn't have shifted history.
I don't know. Hakeem and Jordan were both such good players that them being paired would have really made it tough for them to separate themselves. I think both players would be lower than they're currently ranked because people would always say they had each other.

The trade (read this in Dream's autobiography) was:
-Either Ralph Sampson or the #1 pick
for
-Drexler and the #2.
MJ/Drexler/Hakeem. Deadly.

Quality over quantity, in their primes I would take hakeem, barkley, jordan to play for my team over GP, mailman, kobe, and shaq.
Alright, assuming that the other starters and benches were comprable...you're an idiot.
Scrub<GP
Jordan>Kobe, but closer than GP and scrub by about 50 miles
Scrub=Scrub
Barkley<Mailman
Hakeem=Shaq
Team quantity for me please...
