Anybody else frustrated/agitated/wondering wtf the other GM were thinking?

Why give up so much for so little back? Wheres the logic?

Anybody else wondering if the trades were "shady" & had other agendas involved?

WHERE AMAZING HAPPENS!
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I always wondered why people think that the Wolves just gave KG away. They got a very young stud in return who will probably average 20/10 for his career if not more. Sure, he might never be better than KG but where was Minny going with KG? No where. It was the best young player they can get IMO.

It was a fair deal, not robbery at all.

The Gasol deal however.. I can see how everyone is a little frustrated.

I'm not frustrated. :D

Besides, Gasol was going to end up SOMEWHERE for SOMEONE insignificant, and we would have been having this two-day discussion about that particular team who would have likely been out in the first round. Only reason this warrants attention is because we're the ones in the NBA Finals as a result of this trade, and some people are mad that we struck gold.

Face it haters, this crap happens all the time in the NBA.

22-60. With talented scorers around him his stats wont get no better than that & his offensive looks will be divided. Hopfully with experience his subpar D will improve.

I'm not mad. I just think Memphis could've received much more than what they got for Gasol.

Man how many times we gotta beat this up ? I get so sick and tired of hearing "It was robbery for L.A." Every damn team in the league KNEW Memphis situation, Heisley wants to sell his franchise the only way to do this is to make it look affordable.

Trading Pau was going to be DONE regardless, fact of the matter is if everybody wanted him so damn bad they should have made an offer.

But no most of the whack a$$ GM's of the league only wanted to unload poison contracts on Memphis when they were clearly looking for cap space.

Chris Wallace even said no one but the Lakers were willing to take on his contract. So their is your problem right there teams wanted to only take him only if Memphis took jacked up a$$ contracts in return.

The only reason teams are bitching is because Pau fitted in so quickly well heres a tip for you candy a$$ crying wimps the triangle was tailor made for him and the Lakers benefited from it.

Get over it, most of you here are too young but it's been way more deals worse then this one.

I personally think that Bynum+Odom+expiring K was a better offer than Jefferson+crap. But hey, a couple old timers wanted to help each other out. That's business in the real world, not just sports. It's been 3+ months already. Move on.

Minnesota is a young team and they didn't really need a veteran like Odom.
Jefferson > Bynum

If that was the best alternative, I think McHale did well.

No. Present-for-future trades happen from time to time, I don't see any real reason to think that something stranger is happening here.

Regarding the Gasol trade specifically, I don't see how people can't understand Memphis' perspective. The team was terrible with him. Do people seriously believe that Memphis was satisfied with the situation? Do people seriously believe they could have made a trade that could have made them an immediate contender? If the answer is "no" to both (and it should be), it should be clear that whoever the Grizzlies got in return, their purpose wouldn't be for immediate contribution.

The Garnett trade on the other hand, I understand some bewilderment. It does seem like more could have been gotten for Garnett. I would say though that you have to keep in mind who made the trade. With McHale, if you have to ask "He can't possibly be that incompetent, can he?", you haven't been paying attention while he's squandered Garnett's peak years.

What's with the sig? :dontknow:

If Houston made the Finals I'd be rooting for them to beat whoever's in the east. Are you like everyone else who has an inferiority complex when it comes to the city of L.A.?

Memphis could have definitely gotten something more than the 28th pick in the draft, a prospect that has shown nothing and plays the same position as two of their most promising players and capspace.

If anyone thinks they couldn't have gotten a better deal if they waited a little longer, I question their intelligence.

Have you seen his posts before? He has a huge inferiority complex when it comes to the Lakers and Kobe.

Poor TMac fan...
