Short, simple, and dead on accurate!

I guess we can close the thread now.

Paul Pierce should have a huge series, and he needs too.

I wonder if Ray Allen is defending Kobe ....

Ray Allen guarding Kobe Bryant. Though Pierce vs. VladRad makes me vomit.

If he doesn't, Pierce is the only other option and Rivers would have to be out of his mind to waste Pierce's energy on Bryant. Keep Pierce on VladRad/Walton/Ariza at SF, don't switch him over to Bryant except when forced to. Of course, if Rivers benches Allen in favor of Posey (which he has done frequently for long stretches this postseason), then that's even better IMO as Posey isn't as deadly as Allen with his jumper (though still quite solid and pretty clutch).

Coaching

KG vs Odom should be interesting.

Why? He was able to really limit LeBron and completely shut down Prince while still getting his offense. I'm sure he'll be guarding Kobe at times, and he'll likely do a good job on him.

I fear that Doc vs PJ will be a gargantuan mismatch (think prime Shaq vs Todd MacCullough), but on the other hand, Vlad Rad vs Pierce also some comedy potential. :D

The difference between Kobe and Lebron is you can give Lebron jumpers and he'll shoot awful % most of the time because he's not a great midrange shooter . Kobe is a great midrange shooter , the Spurs gave him the jumper and he hit it . He's flat out better then Lebron because of his better shooting.

Yes, and you don't give Kobe nearly as much space as you give LeBron because Kobe isn't as strong or fast. He can't penetrate with the speed or force of LeBron. When Pierce is on Kobe, I expect Pierce to play him really close and physical. He won't get the looks LeBron got.

No, the difference is that Kobe has a real coach and legit offensive threats around him that make it virtually impossible to double team him.

If Boston plays Kobe the same way they played LeBron (double team him with the ball and tilt a big man behind the double team) then Kobe will struggle as well. Of course, they wont because other guys on L.A. can beat you.

Kobe has gone 1 on 1 the entire playoffs. The day we see LeBron go 1 on 1 in the playoffs is the day records get broken and the Cavs win the championship.

No, Kobe can't get to the rim as well as LeBron. I expect most of Kobe's points to be off jumpers/ difficult shots. There's a no layup law in the Celtics paint.

I'm not talking about layups but fouls on trying to defend Kobe close and the Celtics early in the penalty with tons of non-shooting fouls .

Genius, give Kobe 15 free throw attempts a game.

There sure isn't a no dunk law!

LMAO....did you see Bowen's defense on Kobe? When Kobe was glued to him, Kobe went straight to the rim with ease and although Kobe is not as powerful of a finisher as Lebron, he's still as good of a finisher at the rim. Kobe's also a hell of a FT shooter...so put him on the line and good night, sweet prince.

Also, if your defense collapses, that's when you're really at the mercy of the MVP especially with Sasha on the floor at the same time as the starters.
