Extra 'Bench Play' During Games

Have you noticed when players take a corner shot or foul line extended shots in front of the opposing bench, they sometimes clap/yell or something to make shooting player flinch?
I've seen it done against Horry at least 3 different times and he's still hit the shot.
I think a coach once used to do it too but forget who.
I've been seeing it over the years and always thought it was kind of funny because it reminds me of ball playing in the park, but hated when it was done against me b/c it was effective lol.
Does anyone know when it started in the NBA?
Do you like it is, think it's bad sportsmanship, annoying, or you just don't care for it?
