Yes, riggin happens all the time in entertainment sports. Who wants to see the spurs win 10 championship in a row.

Not the outcomes of series. But I do believe that entertaining matchups are extended to 7 games when the opportunity presents itself (meaning that both teams are somewhat even).

But how can you extend series without controlling the ultimate outcome of the series? Do you believe that the NBA forces the team they helped earlier in the series to lose in game 7? I don't see any possible way that this could be done evenly or even controlled to that degree.

If the outcome of a deciding game (for example, I don't know, lets say a game 6) is changed, how is that not affecting the outcome of a series?

Good point. And I agree. But I dunno if the NBA cares about who wins more than they care about maximizing the ratings of an entertaining series for 7 games.

And man etopn....what was so messed up about that call is that Finley didn't just step on the line or anything. Dude was clearly like 2 feet out of bounds.

You're naive if you think there hasn't been at least one game rigged, it's been pretty obvious these last few years.

2006 finals was just a result of one player single handedly dominating the paint on a team and drawing fouls, no other heat player shot more then 5 ft's then sometimes not even shaq. There's really no reason as to why nba would care about heat winning a title.

This year I think the league def wanted a Boston-LA final, but I doubt they had any memo to officials to ref those teams different. I do believe they would not want star players being ejected but not sure on fixing.

And including the Wade/ Mark Cuban thing is dumb, that has never been under question by any official or anyone that watched the series just the whiny Mark Cuban and haters. Wade just dominated and drove to the basket on almost every possession. That link you gave is to Mark Cuban writing and cussing out David Stern over this call at the end of game 5, which is obviously a foul.

Maybe not but superstar treatment is causing a similar damage.

To me what's more funny is that the league makes "compensatory rigs." I mean the league helped Dallas get away against Houston in 05', but then the league single-handedly destroyed this same Dallas team against Miami in 06'.

I wouldn't exactly call those who think the officiating in that series was horribly biased some some minority of haters. Its a pretty common opinion. Its why Miami fans are so defensive about anyone calling their idol D-Whistle.

It's not defensive, the hating is just funny. Everyone that watched that series knows that the calls were legit, Wade was just relentless and drove on almost every single play. So it's more a testament to what he accomplished that series with his relentless attack and the type of hate he's earned b/c of it. So while the other games mentioned and linked to are legit concerns and have been brought up by Donaghy with real pics and video evidence to back it up, the Wade hating is just that... hating. Or do you actually think this is not a foul? b/c this is the call Mark Cuban and the mavs were whining about.

that foul was on Dirk not Harris and the whistle happened before this picture was taken.

I'm convinced that the Bucks -76ers ECF series back in 2000 or 2001 was rigged.

The foul was called the same time Harris grabbed him... while he was shooting. It's still a foul regardless who they call it on as it was impossible to get a shot off there.If they would have called it on Harris he would have fouled out so maybe they were helping the Mavs? I think the fixing issue from games brought up by Donaghy is legit and there is evidence to back it up but bringing up Wade is just realgm hating.
