Brandon Roy's Game

Post#1 » by A.J. » Thu Jun 12, 2008 7:16 pm

On one of the threads that said list your 3 favorite players and why, some poster said Brandon Roy doesn't have a weakness to his game. I surely think so.

What do you guys think?

you surely think he does have weaknesses? Or you surely think he has no weaknesses?

If you think he does have weaknesses, I'm interested to hear what you feel he's weak at

That's simply not true. What would that make Kobe Bryant

Roy is pretty solid at everything, but he's not great at everything.

The only weakness I can think of him having is his post game is not the best.

could you elaborate for me aj?? He's a guard, so his post skills/shot blocking aren't a huge key, but he's not nessecarily weak at those for a guard...

Hes a very well rounded player and he doesn't have any glairing weaknesses..

The only thing I can say is that he will never be a lock down defender.

he has good defense.

u can say the same thing about any star, but usually thats cuz they have to expend more energy on offense.

That's not a weakness.

A weakness is something you're weak at.

Like Bargnani and rebounding, Kwame Brown and catching a ball, Shaq and FT Shooting.

He was pretty lock down in a hand full of games that I remember... A few against the hawks and nuggets in crunch time, off the top of my head.. He didn't let Joe Johnson breath on the final possetion

The only player with truly no weakness in his game is Kobe.

As a Blazer fan, I can say he has 1 weakness and it is a mental one as opposed to any physical aspect of his game. He can be a little too unselfish at times, especially in the first half. One thing he needs to work is being more aggressive early on in games.

Roy has shown that he can be a great lock down defender and shot blocker. Ask Melo and Joe Johnson. Both of this were in the last seconds when the game was still in doubt.
