He's the most clutch role player in the NBA right now IMO

He's hit so many clutch shot on the biggest stage, and his shots are ALWAYS DAGGERS to his opponents, the man is cold...and i love it if he's on my side

The fans were chanting his name saying he sucks tonight lol, he has hate everywhere and is public enemy #1

He hit the dagger against dallas in game 6 of the finals

He hit multiple daggers tonight, and im forgetting others...

not only that though, he's really 'clever' on D and does really small things ALL THE TIME that just helps you win the game just like horry does...he's so valuable to a winning team, and he's a flat out winner...

Will Horry retiring soon, is posey the new robert horry?

He needs a few more shots to fall and rings to win before he gets into Horry territory, but 'Big Game James' certainly is a guy you want on your side of the floor in the NBA Finals. He was clearly the most underrated pickup of the year for Boston, signed under the radar for 2 years at cheap money.

Posey amazes me most on defense, where he can battle with everyone from Kobe to Lebron to Odom, as well as rebound and help defend. He's no All Star, but he's one of those guys you just KNOW the ball is going to swish through when he takes it in the 4th quarter.

I remember when the Heat had him and he played every single minute with intensity.

And then Riley called him fat even though he was the most energetic guy on the Heat team.

And the Heat proceeded to sign Smush

And I went :banghead:

Fret not, the Celtics had Bruce Bowen and even Ben Wallace for a short time on their roster. They also shipped out Mr. Big Shot (Billups) during that timespan. Thanks Rick Pitino. With those 3 alone we'd have an All-NBA defense.

Riley never called Posey fat.

He and Walker did not meet the conditioning requirements of Riley; it had NOTHING to do with being overweight, rather, not meeting a certain body fat % Riley requires of his F's.

See, as Flash3 clarified - Riley didn't call Posey fat, just said he had too high a body fat percentage. How could anyone make that leap?

Of course. He's also WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY better than Wade.. even back in his Miami Heat days. It's just Stan Van Gundy didn't want to play him that much. Haslem was also good.

Man i cant rave enough about Posey toughness and guts. The man brings it every game and is so cluth it's not even funny. I've seen most Celtics games this year (I'm in Kuwait) and from what i've seen the guy has been my favorite player this season. Forget the "Big Three" this guy is a true baller, tough hard-nosed defense and killer shots that just destroyed opponents this season.

I've heard 3 people(not on RealGM) make this comparison tonight..it's a pretty good one if you're comparing their roles..

there will never be another Horry though..the guy isn't human..see: Detroit Pistons-San Antonio Spurs, game 5..

He hit the killer shot in the Cleveland series and made the killer defensive play in the Detroit series. In terms of this playoffs, Posey has made key plays at key opportunities for this team. Hasn't this been a familiar thing for Celtics championship teams in the past?
